I purchased a washer and dryer (stackable) from this place. They never worked, so I called the owner of the business to let him know that they didn't work. *** *** asked me to bring it in. When he called me to tell me to take it home, my husband connected the dryer and it started making a loud noise. I called the owner again and he said to take it back to the store and he would give me another one. When my husband got there, he told him that he did not have a dryer to exchange it. My husband called me and told me that the owner did not have another one. I called *** *** and he told me that he had already talked to us enough and to stop calling. Today 10/31/2024 I came to the store again and they told me that they couldn't do anything about it. I have the receipt for me, but it expires 11/2/2024. I live in Colorado and I can't keep coming here due to work. When I tried paying *** *** with my debit card, he said no. Only cash was accepted. This makes me think that he is doing this so that the consumer cannot submit a claim. I would like for this to receive some attention so that he cannot take advantage of another consumer. This washer cost me $440 plus $50 for a hose. I paid $490 in cash. Please, if you have any questions - called me at ************  *** *** has the washer and dryer (10/31/2024) I need to know if I should leave it or do I go pick it up? *** *** said that we burnt the motor but 2 weeks ago ( 10/10/2024 ) he said that he was going to give me another one. When my husband took it, he told my husband that he would call him back in two weeks when it was fixed because he did not have another one. 10/31/24 - I do not have time to be driving back and forth, I live in CO. When I call him to find a resolution, he hangs up the call. Again, receipt expires on 11/22/202. I need my money back or a working washer. I do prefer to get my money back. Thank you.

Verbal response: They are the ones that put it on backwards. Which made the motor work in reverse mode that blew the transmission on it. We did not break this. They need to buy a new transmission on it. It would be around $700.00 for the part. We would not charge labor. The husband came in and we explained this and he understood.

Verbal response: The consumer can call to schedule pick up of their machine. We have not worked on it. The consumer would need to pay for repairs for this to occur.

I took a washer in to be fixed that was making a horrible noise while on the spin cycle but it would finish the job. There were no other issues with this machine. All the control buttons were functioning. They said it was fixed to come pick it up. We went in paid the remaining balance after deposit which totaled $250. The receipt says 6 month warranty! Took it home and now there was a new problem with it and a cycle wouldn't even complete itself. We took it back in. Waited another week. Had to go in to see what was the progress. That's when they said another $250 was needed for a control panel. There was nothing wrong initially with the control panel; it functioned just fine! The man admitted it got wet and they tried to dry it out but it's not working. So they damaged the control panel and have the nerve to 1) not honor their 6 month receipt warranty and 2) ask that I pay $250 for their mistake in breaking a working part!!! This place is going out of business as it is. It's no wonder. But to take advantage and rob people of their money is illegal. I want a refund since nothing has been resolved. It was a waste of time, energy, money and peace of mind dealing with this fraud.

The repairs we made are good.  We were only charging for parts not the labor.  We still have her washing machine and she is more than welcome to come and get it.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

I am not going to pay for a part their technician admittedly broke. I do not want to do business with this shoddy company anymore. They broke my washer so it is not functioning at all now! The reason it went into their place had nothing to do with the control panel. But they want me to pay for what they broke?!

That's a lie that they have my washer in their possession. It's been sitting my garage since I retrieved it weeks ago. I have a voice mail from them indicating it was ready to be picked up and needed to be within 5 days otherwise they would consider it abandoned and becomes their property. So it was picked up promptly.

I am now going to the news media and filing an investigation be done so others they have burned can come forward and hopefully a court claim will be next.

I know of one other person they sold a fridge to that broke within the week of having it and will not honor the 6 month warranty receipt they issued to them for that appliance. It was by chance we had this discussion and realized it is the same business that broke my washer and refused to honor the same receipt warranty for my appliance. So I can be sure there are others in the Albuquerque area that are in this same predicament because of their lies and negligence.

A simple refund (which will not fix my washer still) can help to ease this issue. So if they choose to avoid doing the right, ethical option then further legal action may ensue which always costs more.

    Regards,
