In May 2023, BBB Serving New Mexico and Southwest Colorado investigated ElmoSantino business practices. This investigation was prompted by complaints and Scam Tracker reports.

Consumers have alleged the following through BBB complaints: 
- I bought three pairs of shoes at ElmoSantino online on December 30, 2022 for a total of $199.85. Order# ********. After countless efforts trying to track the package and communicating by email, I received a small piece of plastic with a piece of material in it from USPS with a tracking number. No shoes delivered.

- I ordered ElmoSantino shoes for $69.00 online after a Facebook ad appeared on my feed. My order and payment was processed; however, I never received the shoes. I remembered 2 months later that I never received the order. I checked my email and followed the link to the order and it says the shoes were delivered on 01/09/23. I emailed ElmoSantino and I received an email response that a ticket was opened and a representative would reach out to me. I have not received any other communication after 2 weeks. I have been unable to find a US phone number for this company. After a search online of this company I am seeing many references to this company being a scam. I have reached out to my credit card company to dispute the charge.

In May 2023, BBB checked the website for ElmoSantino to determine when it was created. The website was created on August 15, 2022. 

During the course of our investigation, BBB found this business is not located at the business’ reported postal address in Albuquerque, NM. Postal mail sent by BBB to the business ElmoSantino was returned to BBB in June 2023, marked by USPS as return to sender insufficient address. BBB is unable to verify the true location of this business. 

BBB made inquiries to ElmoSantino via email asking the following:
- Supporting documentation of their postal address.
- ElmoSantino’s operations addresses, mailing addresses, phone numbers, contact information, email addresses, and online listings.
- ElmoSantino’s New Mexico business registration.

To date, BBB has not received a response from ElmoSantino.

Based on the information detailed above, BBB cannot state with confidence that we have a clear understanding of the business.

If you are having difficulty with a purchase, and have not already done so, you may want to contact your payment provider, such as your bank, credit card company, electronic draft company, prepaid card, etc. to file a dispute. Filing a dispute is time sensitive and should not be delayed. However, not all payment providers allow disputes. Consumers may want to check with their payment provider prior to purchase to find out what payment protection options are available.

You may also want to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and/or the Federal Bureau of Investigation Internet Crime Complaint Center.
