see attached Mr. Rudy A*****, * **** ****** ****** ** *** ********, gave us the enclosed estimate for yard work on June 23 or 24, 2923. He received from us a check for $300 as a deposit and to purchase items necessary for the work. (We realized later that he had written our phone incorrectly on the estimate sheet.) No one appeared to do the work on the promised date, June 29th. We had to research a phone number and address, since he had given us no contact information. There was no answer on his phone. On Saturday, July 1, someone named Barbara O**** appeared at our door saying Mr. A***** was hospitalized following a roll-over accident and that she, his business partner, was "trying to get the jobs done." She returned our $300 check, and we gave her one for $200 written to Rudy A***** or Barbara O**** to cover the needed bark chips and sprinkler parts. That check was cashed by Ms. O****, but no services or items have ever been provided. Phone calls to her personal number, 575-888-1927, have not given results, and Mr. A***** hangs up immediately when he learns who is calling. We have since had the work done more than satisfactorily by a company called *** **** *** * ***, so want only to have the $200 refunded to us, a couple of unsuspecting 80-somethings

***** ****** called me for an estimate on 3 small handyman projects. We set up a time and we met and she explained how she needed a cinder block fence repaired, paint 2 wood gates, & trim 2 mulberry trees. I gave her a bid and she agreed on the price to get all 3 jobs done. ***** NEVER  asked for a Lic. # and she also never asked for a signed Contract. Everything was Verbal.  I thought it was only going to be the 3 projects. She then added 4 more projects and wanted pricing on them. Again all Verbal or text messages and she agreed on the prices. I brought in more help so we could finish faster. We finished the next 4 handyman jobs, ( replacing 2 outside hosebibs , repairing a picketfences and re-installing a fabric cover on her fence, and installing a new wooden gate on Northeast side of her backyard.) We completed the jobs and ***** Again Added more jobs again all Verbal or text messaging. We now were on project #23,  from pouring a concrete step, to installing a boxed pergula kit, to adding a concrete floor for the new pergula. Lighting, outlets etc. ***** I noticed was growing agitated because we had other obligations Handyman services And we could not be there everyday like she wanted. We only needed to finish the garage door  windows. And a 2x4 x 6'wall n floor to finish. We  arrived on a Saturday morning to continue working. ***** asked me for a favor if i could  adjust the float on her Ac unit. I commented that i didnt have a Tall ladder to get on her roof.she offered hers. The Aluminum ladder was old rusty and Broken. Once i finished adjusting float i was attempting to come down when the ladder Broke, and I Fell Straight down Hitting my head then Breaking 5 Ribs, Concusion, loss of vision on left eye, and contributing to headaches now. ***** at first stated she had insurance to help with the medical bills as she was aware of how bad my injuries were. She Called approx. a week later and canceled the work. There was never a contract, never asked for a Lic# Never mentioned any drug use from my help, Canceled out the remainder of work and still owes me money for work completed.
