I went through 8 different surveying companies trying to do a simple survey for our farm. Most of them did not follow through with a bid when they said they would and one submitted a bid then after a meeting with them, raised the bid and tried to make the survey job more complicated than it was. Borderland came out, looked at our property, submitted a very reasonable bid and did the survey in the promised time. They did their research and found an old survey that greatly simplified the whole process. They were knowledgeable about the crazy Dona Ana County ********* *********** process for exemptions from the ***. It is hard to find a good surveying company in the Las Cruces - El Paso area and Borderland was a breath of fresh air!

Two employees came out to survey property next to mine. Usually we get a courtesy call in case they need access to our property. This was not the case when when I asked the men who they were and why they were digging on my property, their response was we're surveyors. I asked for a business card and their names both were refused. I asked them to stay off my property they called the sheriff. When the sheriff arrived I showed him where they were digging and stated I did not want them on my property again. They refused to give me their company name stating Our boss doesn't want people to know who we are cuz we have alot of work. The sheriff had to obtain that information for me. After the sheriff left they came back onto my property. I believe one of them was whistling in an attempt to get my dogs to approach them...off my property where they do not need to be leashed. Again this company trespassed on private property after being asked and told by sheriff to refrain from thay action. The representation of the company from these two employees may not reflect the business. But this was my experience. Had them simply identified themselves and their company I would have gladly allowed access. Their rude attitude and escalation of the situation has lead me to seek to legal action to keep these men from returning. The office said the person to speak to was the person I encountered and they refused to contact his supervisor or owner as further discussion with the employee in question would be futile and I would be subjected to further insult by him and the company he works for. You can't just walk onto private property and do as you please.
