    Dear Ms. ****,

This is a surprise and a disappointment to me.

We have evidence in our file that Mr. and Mrs. ****** have received IRS Acknowledgements of refunds in excess of $14,283 of the $15,941 due from IRS as a result of the amended returns we filed at her request.  We did our job, as agreed.  There were no mistakes made by our firm.

On several occasions Ms. ****** called our office to ask why she had not received her refunds.

Given the labor disruption caused by the Pandemic, it is widely known the IRS and other governmental agencies are all behind and slowly recovering.  I had encouraged her to be patient.  The refunds would be forth coming.  By way of example the most recent refund acknowledgment was issued by the IRS on January 2, 2023.

US government agency delays in processing are beyond this firm’s control.

Please note, the ******** were not charged several hundred dollars of professional time as a courtesy to help them recover tax they should have never paid, caused by their prior tax preparer.

Also note, they have an unpaid balance of fees due on their open account.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

    Regards,

Please don't put the blame on the pandemic as this is very typical of what business's are doing to get out of performing duties that are paid for. The response does no justify the fact that I have paid for services and did not receive what I paid for.
