I had to medically retire in February 2022. Some time after that I was notified that PLUS FOUR COLLECTIONS was coming after me for a claim. When I called them the first time and told them I was disputing their claim, they said ok. They refused to tell me who was behind this claim unless I submittrf a detailed request for this information. After sending this letter, it took many weeks for them to finally respond telling me it was my former employer's medical insurance Southwest Medical Health and Life that did this. At this time I had been an established patient with their subsidiary Health Plan of Nevada (***). At the time I was already on ******** and my licensed Medicare agent wasted hours on the phone with them explaining what had happened and seeking resolution. To this day, I have heard nothing from them. When I recieved a second demand from PLUS FOUR months later, I called them again and reiterated that I was disputing this claim. Both times I was told this was on a recorded line. I have impeccable credit and have maintained an 800+ credit score for decades! In checking my mail today, My credit score on Credit Karma was 835 and my credit score on another document had me at 705. In checking Credit Karma, this claim is now listed as "overdue". The BBB has multiple complaints from them and they currently have an F rating and further documentation is that they are "not credited" by the BBB. I am presently waiting for my Medicare Agent to contact me and I have a call into my attorney. I am ready to seek legal action against these CLOWNS if this nonsense is not immediately resolved. I am livid with this company. One does not maintain an 800+ credit score for decades by not paying bills on time.Initial Complaint

I called several months ago to see who this company is. Ive never heard of them before. I called in again today, 09/26/2024, and they state the debt is from 5/22/2022 from Desert Radiology and the amount pending is for a different charge. I asked for an email of the contract between me and PLUSFOUR and their representative, ***, says there is no contract. I looked online to see if PLUSFOUR is accredited with the BBB and they are not. Theyve had a collections to my account for a growing debt that is a different charge that is unknown, and we have no contract for. Please remove this collection from my account immediately.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: I had responded before stating that I had called and their customer service representative had stated No this for a different amount. When I had asked her if I had a contract with them. It is verified that I do not have a contract with PlusFour, therefore they have no business collecting a debt from me whether or not they are a third party. Their response statement of, we are a third party. Is not a sufficient response to elicit a debt payment from me. They are also tacking on interest to the debt, which started out around $1,400 and is now over $1,700.

Plus four in, a debt collection agency has some of the most rude and unprofessional representatives in the industry. They lack the due diligence to verify that the information they get from their customers (desert radiology solutions, in this case) prior to their malicious and potentially illegal debt collecting practices. They fail to notify the debtor, that failed to follow through with the validation letter they will attack your credit report even prior to following the very clear and art guidelines set forth on the fair debt collections protections act. As of November 30th 2021, the fdcpa clearly states that a collection agency must 1) contact the debtor via, u.s. mail, email, or by phone 2) they must supply the provider name, amount of the debt, and a statement notifying the debtor that they have 30 days to dispute the debt.Plus four inc failed to do all of this and maliciously and potentially illegally placed collection information on my credit report.This company should lose its business license and be permanently shut down for it's questionable tactics. I will be filing a complaint with the Nevada a.g. offices and seeking an attorney to go after this company and I urge others to do the same. If you look on the bbb web site you will see multiple entries/complaints of plus four inc with bills stemming from desert radiology solutions. I highly recommend that consumers watch these companies very closely as there appears to be some very questionable tactics taking place.Customer response

See the attached. No release of information is needed. Plus four inc. Is in clear violation of the fdcpa. They failed at due diligence to ensure that the info they recieved from their client (desert radiology solutions) was infact accurate. Plus four needs to take their response to their client, not me. They also failed at contacting me and providing a validation letter. Both are clear violations of the fdcpa. If the adverse collection respinse is not immediately removed from my credit report I mat have to pursue litigation against Plus four inc.Customer response

Today, 04/11/2024, I received what my incoming ISP filter said was a spam call, so I let it go to vm. I noticed it was a Las Vegas phone #. Im also an investigator by profession. It was a robo-call. I looked the phone number up and it was from a company called +4. A debt collector. ****** *** mean years ago for work purposes lived in ********* for a short while. After reading all the complaints on this debt collecting company & who they were working with, I got curious & called the Spam incoming call. +4 answered. I was upfront in letting her know that I was an investigator *** was very curious to find out after so many years, 6+, Out of the blue, I am hearing from this debt company & this ************************************ Radiology. Never receiving an email. I relocated back to ***** after 4 surgeries and ********* nearly killing me in 2018 & 2019 by medical transport. They were attempting to collect a debt for desert radiology from 2018. And this is the first Im hearing about it. She then thought I said I was recording the call, and she got nervous, then wanted to give me a pitch. I interrupted her & said that she did not hear me clearly, *** never said I was recording this call, her call said they were recording the call for qualityI am no fool to this game. I continue to let her speak because I wanted to hear what debt she was trying to collect & where it originated from, outside of desert radiology. This is why ********* Hospital & those that contributed to the horrific patient welfare I received was denied payment: I was brought into that ER room by approx 10 paramedics (not needed), I have soldiers PTSD, & 1 of those paramedics said that I was trying to commit suicide. Family present & witnessing. This was not true at all. I was beaten up by hospital staff requiring facial surgery. A Hospital Admin witnessed. Admin reported assault. The 6 that did the beating got away with the assault. Ins paid out. Family refused remaining balance. Brought me back 2 TX.Initial Complaint

A bill for $2,649.00 has been sent to me and is now on my credit report from Desert Radiology Solutions. I had (2) insurances during this hospital visit which they were given. This company has now turned this bill over to PlusFour, Inc.(*******************************************************************************, Reference #*********. Neither of my insurances have been filed for a claim. Pure laziness. *** tried to explain and i have given them the information to no avail. PlusFour has spoken to this consumer and advised her of the same thing the original creditor advised her. This is a dispute between the consumer and the consumers insurance. The **** ins that was provided by the consumer denied the claim giving the reason that patient has other insurance. The consumer is the responsible party until the balance is resolved.
