Some named Terry left a voicemail for someone on my phone today and I have received numerous phone calls from this business and I have no clue who this is

I was called by this company this morning stating that I had a case against me. I needed to contact them immediately. I guess they don't remember I received they same call from them last year and they told me a cash advance place was coming after me for a delinquent account that I never opened. She told me a person was coming to serve me the papers I needed to sign to settle or dispute the debt. I called the company she claimed I owed and they had absolutely no record of that or me. So whats scary about that is how did they get all this personal information. I immediately called Southwest back left a message stating those facts and never got a call back. No one came to my home to give me any papers. They are a Scam and I want them to stop calling me.Southwest Mediation Service Response

Ms. Williams, Our job is to notify the a consumer of an outstanding debt with a company or corporation. This year we did do so and you refused our services. As for years prior our records do not show any contact with you. Please provide the name of the company you did contact so we can verify if this is the same company you called on your own recognizes and refused their settlement for half of the debit in 2019. Your BBB review states that you reached out to the magazine company but mentioned no name. We will send it back to them end of business day along with BBB review and response.Review from Sa L

Debra Lee called and left a message regarding mediation. She did not give any information about what business this entailed and when I called her she wanted to know my last name. Since she obtained my phone number I told her she should have that information. I didn’t want to be scammed. She also contacted my family member. I as m disputing any claims from this so-called company. According to my internet research this company is a scam.Review from Crystal S

Company continues to call my personal cell phone to contact my husband who has his own phone. We don’t have joint accounts so there is no reason for them to call him on mine. They threaten to sue him, garnish wages and seize property unless we make a payment during the call for a “web based” payday loan, yet won’t provide the name of said company. My husband has terrible credit and would never be approved for anything unless I co signed. They have not provided any legal documentation that is required via mail. They did have some of his information to con people as if they are legitimate but are likely just scammers that purchased “zombie collection” accounts that would have that basic information and people will often fall for it. SOUTHWEST MEDIATION SERVICE AND QUALITY READERS SERVICE OR UNITED READERS SERVICE (Scam) aggressive don't do business with these people they are only out to get your money. PERIOD My name is WILFREDO. I suspect this is a shell company for the magazine company. Please leave your testimonies here because we can turn this into a class action lawsuit with your participation. This "magazine company" whose name I've never heard of has been aggressively and illegally harassing me for more than a decade with tactics such as forcing me to remain on the phone with then under threat of retaliation. They've called me hundreds of times from dozens of area codes. I know some lawyers and we can begin to have a class action lawsuit with your help. Mr. *****, Concerning your BBB review, SWMS of Nevada holds a B rating with the BBB and has been in business for over 10 years. the other companies mentioned in this complaint have sold Magazines/reading periodicals for over 50 years. Including personal, business, Schools, and churches. What our office can do is make sure that all your information is removed from their data banks including add-on and renewal accounts. We have the authority to force a stop order for any collection attempt or sales call moving forward. and you will not hear from our office again as you settled with us.Review from Catherine F

Debra called me stating I owed $950 something for magazines back in 2013. Stating I made my last payment in 2015. I never ordered any magazines!! Felt like a scam, so I hung up!Review from Mark C

Just like all the other people who have written a review of this company, "Kristen" started calling me saying that I owed over 1000 dollars for a magazine subscription from 2017. If I didn't pay this amount they would then sue me for over 2000 dollars but if I would be willing to pay 500 dollars (not exact amount but close) then this would all go away. I asked her to send me the documents with the evidence against me and she sent me a payment form. I informed her of this and also told her I had looked her company up and would also be making a complaint against her company (Crickets) She is very pushy and tries to sound like she is knowledgeable and has a quick come-back for any questions I may have had. So glad I looked this business up. I also have to choose a star rating and only did so because I can't submit without one.Review from Amy T

I was called today. Stating I owe around 9000 for an old credit card back in 2016 from a company I do not know. That they are suing me and will see me in court. I have outstanding credit and pay all my bills. Its a scam!!!Review from Charla M

I was called by this company on August 4th telling me I owe them 1200 plus dollars for magazines I never read or remember ordering I mean it was suppose to be from 2017 these people call me non stop from different area codes and blow me up with voice mails I'm assuming they are a scam as I have nothing from them on my credit report and I check once a month I have asked them to send me the original information and was told they can not do that as they don't have it and are just mediation
