To Whom It May Concern:On Sunday, August 4th, 2024, our family utilized the services of Davis Funeral Homes and Memorial Park (Rainbow location) for my mothers funeral. The services they were contracted to provide are outlined in the provided purchase agreement. For these services, they quoted and charged my father a total of $11,430.71. The service itself fell short of expectations with technical issues throughout. As part of the arrangement, the funeral home worked directly with the insurance company to receive compensation from the claim. However, once they were paid, all efforts to assist my father in receiving the remaining funds from the claim seem to have ceased. The funeral home has been evasive and dishonest in their communication ever since.Despite numerous phone calls and emails over the past seven weeks, there has been no progress. As of today, September 23, 2024, my father was informed by the insurance company that the claim is still open, but they have yet to receive the necessary documents from Davis Funeral Home. This is contrary to the funeral homes repeated claims that the documents had already been sent. This experience has added unnecessary stress and heartache during what is already the most difficult time of our lives. A funeral homes purpose is to alleviate burdens on grieving families, yet their negligence and lack of professionalism have only compounded our grief. The handling of this situation has been nothing short of abysmal.I am filing this complaint in the hopes that no other family will have to endure the additional pain that Davis Funeral Homes has caused us in such a difficult time. I urge the Better Business Bureau to take action so that other grieving families are not subjected to the same treatment.Sincerely,****** ****** ************ *******************

My son *********************** passed away on March 15, 2024, in *********. I currently live in ******* with my husband since 2014. The Las ********************* called me that very night as I was in NO mood to talk to anyone grieving the loss of my son. I had less than 24 hours to make a decision on where to move the body to or it will automatically go to Davis Funeral Home at ******************************************************************. Being OUT of state I thought that was totally "Unfair" for an out of state person that was taken advantage by the selected Funeral Home NOT of my choice. I want a NO FRILL Cremation. It was not until March 20 that we had a conference call and was told the ridicously HIGH price for a Direct Cremation for $3163.59. We had no choice as charges were already incurring for refrigeration. But we had looked into other Funeral Homes offering the same very basic services as Vegas Valley Cremation for $950.00, Desert Memorial for $1100.00, ********* Cremations for $1295.00 and Care ****************** for $1100.00. We dealt with a *********************** that was NOT pleasant at all after these trying days o always having to chase her via email with so many questions. When is my son being cremated several emails. It took 18 days for his body to be cremated that I thought was just plain crazy. I also have been asking her so many times where the Death Certificate is, and it is now 60 days. Her last comment via email was "Oh here is the number for the *************** if you wish to call. Then last week I get a call from Davis's office from someone asking me would you like us to quote on your future cremation needs, WE LIVE out of state and NOT in *********. Very trying experience with this Funeral Home. We felt that we were taken advantage of for NOT living in ********* and living out of state. In closing I would like some reimbursement back as I gave you above examples from $950.00-$1295.00 NOT your price of $$3163.59.
