Pattern of Complaint:

In February of 2024 BBB noticed a pattern of complaints from consumers alleging they did not receive the product they paid for, and the business refused to issue refunds. Consumers also allege the business attempted to force consumers to pay more for preordered items that were paid for at the time of preorder and the business provided poor and rude customer service. BBB alerted the business of our concerns in February and March of 2024 and did not receive a response. BBB continues to receive the same type of complaints regarding the business.

    On December 8, 2023 I made a purchase at the store for the buy 2 clearance get 1 deal. The sticker prices listed the games at $7.99 (game 1), $4.25 (game 2), and $4.99 (game 3). According to the receipt I was charged $19.99 for game 1 and game 2 rang up as $5.99 (although this ended up being the free game). As there was other items I purchased as well, I didn't realize they charged full price until I was at home and saw I was overcharged on the receipt. I contacted the store the next day regarding the error, however, no actions have been taken. After a week with no resolution, I followed up with the business and they said they were waiting for a response on how they can resolve it. It has now been an additional two weeks with no resolution.

    I preordered three transactions of products at The Gaming Goat for the amount of $233.78. Please see the documents attached. Also, I sent an email to The Gaming Goat and they did not respond to my request. Also, the website is unfair practices of business practices when I preordered saying they have it in stock and will be shipped when they are released, however, they did not send my product nor provide communication that they cannot fulfill my request.

    I pre-ordered a board game ( Shikoku **** ) from 'The Gaming Goat' ********* on March 9th 2023. The board game was a kickstarter that wasn't released until earlier this month ( October 2023 ). I hadn't received any shipping notification so I reached out to the business to inquire about the delivery of my purchase. They responded promptly telling me that they are under new management ( now known as ************* Games") and that they are not honoring pre-orders from before their company changed hands, nor are they issuing refunds for the products preordered from The Gaming Goat. They have the same physical address, customer service email and ******** page as before they were bought, but still expect me to believe that they are a completely different entity than they were 7 months ago. They told me to take it up with my bank if I wanted my money back.

    This Company stole money from me when I attempted to preorder a board game. I have tried to contact support multiple times and they have recently rebranded to Knight and Day games. I have proof . Do not order from this company

    On Jan 24, 2023 I pre-ordered board game (Lords of Ragnarock Mythic Pledge) for ******. I ordered this threw The Gaming Goat in *********. Over this summer, that owner retired and was bought by 3 owners. The Gaming Goats have horrible reviews and to distance them from TGG they renamed the store to **************************** I was told the previous owner did not actually order the board game. I confirmed this with the company that made the game. Their was an order, but they never paid for them. Have been talking to The Gaming Goat/Knight and Day Games multiple times with no resolution. They are just telling me they didn't collect the funds and won't work with me to resolve the issue. They just tell me and other customers to just do a chargeback with my/their credit cards. I do not have that option, since it was over 60 days. They even refuse store credit.

    I ordered a product. The company is refusing to fulfill the order. They acknowledge my money was collected and are refusing to fulfill the order or to offer me a refund. They stated the company was bought by a new person and now they don't have to honor past orders. I included my receipt, my chats with the new owner, and their newsletter even stating they won't be honoring old orders.     Ordered from The Gaming Goat website on Tuesday, June 27th, 2023. As of August 10th did not receive any further communication regarding the order.Attempted to email using the support address provided. The email address resulted in an error.Credit card was charged for $111.16. Requesting full refund as soon as possible.

    Purchased items from the online store, items were never sent, store has consistently given me the run around and has refused to refund the order despite the fact that the tracking order has stated that they only ever made a label. it has been months without either recieving my product or the money paid for the product

    One of the items we are trying to get reordered from distribution. Order was made under previous ownership therefore a refund is not possible due to different merchant accounts. Also preorder policy clearly states the rules of engagement.

    This was an issue done by the former owner. We have tried to resolve it but as we only purchases the assets of the company we have recommended the customer to charge back so they may recoup their funds.

    Order initially placed November 27, 2020 I preordered several kickstarters that had not been released yet. All of them have now been delivered to backers, which the company claims to be. One, however, Blacklist Miniatures: Fantasy Series 1 (Base Pledge) is being held until backers pay for shipping. TGG refuses to pay this extra shipping. I have thus told them to send all of my order they currently have as it is their decision to withhold payment for shipping their pledges. I have also asked for an itemized list of what they do have on hold for me and, as yet, they haven't responded.Here is a thread concerning their business practices. *********************************************************************************** I appreciate your aid in resolving this issue.     I placed order #***** for a board game - Darkest Dungeon (Crimson Pledge) on February 28th, 2022 for $172.90. The money was taken out of my account on March 2nd. I hadn't heard anything from them about my order until March 16th, when they offered to upgrade me to the Darkest Dungeon (Wave 1 All in Pledge) for an additional $89.99. I declined the upgrade and said I only wanted my original Darkest Dungeon (Crimson Pledge) as is and if that wasn't possible, I wanted a refund. I didn't hear anything back, so I emailed them again on March 20th. Again, no response. Starting on April 17th, I've been emailing them at least once a week trying to get my item shipped. They created a shipping label on April 17th (the **** tracking number they provided me is ******************************) but the label says it was only printed, and the item never arrived at ****. Each time someone responded to my inquiry, they told me the label wasn't in their store and it was shipped. They claim to have emailed the *** several times about this, yet I never receive a resolution. At this point, I just want a refund for my purchase. My last request for a refund, as the tracking hasn't updated in the past 3 weeks and they refuse to reship my purchase, has not be responded to so far. I attached confirmation of my purchase, proof the money was taken from my account, the shipping email I received, the unfulfilled **** tracking, and all the communications between me and support as I've tried to have my order fulfilled. Thank you for your help!
