The representative stated that his company ******* had the ability to pay off my student loan within the show the time. The payment will go directly to Student Loan not the company and the payment would be $259 a month for the next 12 months. I recently stopped the payment because I got suspicious of the fact that the phone number was because it disconnected when I tried to reach out to them for a status update and now I realized that it was a scam. I have paid these people $259 for almost 12 months with the believe that I was paying against my actual student loan when reality I was just playing a scam. Therefore, I want to file charges against these people and see if I can get my money back. At the reading the other complaints, but not realized that my suspicions were correct I dont know if this will do any good, but I hope that other people benefit.

******************* of Maximum Management Services contacted me in July 2022 claiming to help see if I would qualify for the Income-Drive Repayment program through my Direct Student Loan. He asked me specific security questions, which mislead me to believe me it was a legitimate person calling from my direct loan. After I was "approved" for the **** for $0.00 payment fees, he explained the application process, which required I submit paystubs and tax information to prove my income for the program. He explained there would be a fee of $**** (broken in to 5 installment payments) I had to make before having $0.00 payments on my loan for a year. On 10/8 my bank alerted me of a suspicious charge from Maximum Management declining the payment. **** texted and emailed me directly about the payment being declined on the 10/10/22. The text stated that the process to enroll me in the forgiveness program will be coming to a halt and to call back to avoid cancellations and un-enrollment. I also received an email security alert this same day that my FSA ID information had been changed and to change my password if I had not authorized it. After looking into the company and my previous emails I learned its a 3rd party company assisting with student loan document preparation and not affiliated with any government agency. I was lead to believe that the payments were applying towards my loan payments, when in actuality it was to pay for this "service" to file the paperwork for my application. **** sent me a contract that I apparently had signed electronically but had never received a copy of until now. Regardless if I had signed it and it specifies all of this, long story short, I was misled and would never have agreed to pay **** for someone to click a few buttons on an online application that is FREE and easy to do. I was denied a refund and not given the name of his super. I want others to be aware of this company's predatory behavior to scam vulnerable loan borrowers.

Maximus Management or also going by *************** Services has been taking ****** a month out every month since 6-11-2022. They had called me numerous times telling me how I was eligible for loan consolidation and that the payments would be taken off of my student loans. The monthly amounts they are taking from my account are not shown being deducted from my student loan. I am wondering where is my money is going?? I have tried to contact them, and I am not hearing anything back.

Maximum Management claims to be a private entity that "assists it's clients in document preparation". I was approached by them on 05/06/22 to enter the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) and a loan consolidation. The services they committed to were document preparation for these two separate things. The payment plan for these services was going to be $199.00/month, for 5 months. They promised that after entrance into the PSLF program, I would not have to make monthly payments to my loan provider, or that my payments would be $0. There was an online form they had me sign to accept their terms, but I never received a copy of this for my own documentation. I was charged $199.00 on that day (5/6). On 5/9, Maximum Management submitted the application for loan consolidation to the Dept. of Education. I received confirmation of this application submittal, and confirmation that my consolidated loan would be moving to the provider ******. After receiving confirmation of this, I realized that moving my loans over was not in my best interest, and that entering PSLF was also not. I also became more suspicious of the validity of this company. I emailed Maximum Management on 5/27 to terminate services and cancel my loan consolidation application (which was the only document they assisted with thus far). When I mentioned that I would get into contact with ****** to cancel the application, the account manager said that ****** had nothing to do with this, that they were a servicer making money off students. This didn't make sense, as in the application they submitted, had to have chosen ****** as the provider for the consolidated loan. After this, I called both the Dept. of Education (who said that the company should not be trusted) and ****** to cancel the consolidated loan application. I requested a refund of $199. At first they wanted to discuss if I was eligible for a refund. After talking on the phone, they said I was not eligible and denied my request.
