CAUTION!!!! If I could give a zero, I would. We recently signed up for a tour to Alaska. 2 weeks later, the company changed the tour date by 10 days. Since this created a conflict for us, we called right away to cancel. We were told that they have the right to change the dates and that we would still have to pay the cancellation fee. Even if the fine print stated that they had the right to change the dates, I believe not returning our deposit is unethical. We were going to schedule a different tour, but not now.

There is some confusion. We have tried reaching out to the customer. The initial phone representative did quote our standard refund policy, but after management reviewed the cancellation a FULL refund was issued. We are sorry for the miscommunication and hope that the customer sees that we did do the right thing.

I would give them no stars if I could. I paid $1993.25 deposit to be on the "wait list" for the Maritime tour in 2024. Julie said I would likely get a reservation as I was #7 on the list. She assured me the deposit was fully refundable at any time even if by Mar. we did not get a tour reservation. She insisted there was "no risk". I wasn't even sure we wanted to go on this pricey tour but thought it a good idea to get on the waiting list since there was "no risk" and I could get my deposit back at any time. About 2 weeks later we learned we had a family event that conflicted with the tour. I wrote and called to have my deposit returned. That's when I learned they would remove $89 "processing fee". This was never mentioned before. I signed the terms (8 pages) while talking to Julie and she said I had plenty of time to review them before I got registered on the tour. I read them as soon as I hung up. I also looked at the receipt she sent that had on it a listing of the total cost, a $100 deduction, a $250 deduction if I payed the balance by check, and a$89 processing fee. Along with the "terms..." was the first I heard of this fee. But it clearly was stated in the terms and on the receipt as a cost for a tour reservation.... I did not have a reservation. I was #7 on the waiting list. There was no expense incurred with being on the waiting list so I should get a FULL and that means ALL of my deposit back. Julie has stated this can't happen because it is company policy. This is underhanded and dishonest both on her and the company's part. I will continue to pursue this. MJ

As the customer stated, their is an $89 processing fee for all registrations. The customer believes that they don't have to pay the fee because they never registered for the tour, but they did. A registration includes the wait list, as we take a 15% deposit by CC. The $89 processing fee is to pay for the work that is done to process the booking and get them on the list and to help cover CC fees. They claim no expense was incurred, but those were our expenses. We record all phone calls and Julie correctly stated that the 15% deposit would be 100% refundable. It is refundable and is being returned to the customer. The non-refundable $89 PF is paid at the time of booking and is not part of the deposit. We are sorry for the confusion, but the fee is listed on our website and in writing that the customer signs before we process a booking. We will work to make it even more clear in the future.

Due to continued break downs with our rv and advancing years in age we have been unable to go on a fantasy trip. We have switched to two different rally's and now we are told that we are not eligible for a refund. To book a rally where you don't need an rv you must pay an additional fee for accommodations. We have been unable to find a buyer to transfer our deposit to. I would expect a reduced $$ refund to cover cost of doing business but no deal there. Will not recommend fantasy tours to anyone!!!

We are sad to see how this has all worked out for them. They originally booked on 9/4/19 for the Mississippi River Road Tour. As the customer stated, they have switched their tour a couple of times. When they did the original switch, they agreed that the paid funds be moved to the newly booked tours as travel credits. We, as tour coordinators, paid out funds to vendors on the originally booked tour. That is the reason for no refund being offered on the newly booked tours. They are using their travel credit from the original tour.

We have tried to work with them by giving them non-RV options, but hotels and cabin rentals do cost extra. They also spoke of renting an RV but it sounds like that is not an option. We do allow the selling of their travel credits but don't sell them for them. They still have the full value of their travel credits and they never expire. Some past customers have sold them by finding RV travelers on RVillage.com or sold them along with their RVs.
