In January 2023 I was contacted by *** from A1 consulting at ************. He advised I was eligible for student loan forgiveness and had access to all of my student aid.gov information. He advised what I owed on my student loan exactly and that due to student loan forgiveness he could consolidate my loans and then forgive roughly $4k. I paid two installments of $499.50, one on 1/9/23 and the other on 3/9/23. The remainder of my loan would be $2273.40 and I would pay that in 120 months at $10.62 a month once the requirements for student loans payments was turned back on. No payments were being required at the time due to covid. I also had to email proof of my pay stubs to ************************************** I realized recently it was getting close to the tome I would need to start making payments and called my student loan company and they had no proof of any of this taking place and my loan amount was still the same. I filed a case for this to be investigated there as well. I called the bank to cancel my debit card and tried to get funds back but I am outside of the required reporting timeframe. A1 Consulting is a scam for those in student loan debt.

August 2022 Responded to a phone solicitation for assistance with student loan forgiveness. Was told that this company could get me student loan forgiveness. Was told that they would take over servicing my loan. I asked specifically if I should stop paying Mohela, my current loan servicer. The representative, ***********************, said yes. He said that I would make 4 payments of $249.75, and then would make 120 payments of $44.64 and that would be all. He did not say that this plan was dependent on my income being below a certain amount. He said it was acceptable to estimate my income (I wasnt that far off). I was never told that the payment amounts were only estimates. He did not say that this plan was contingent on being approved for public student loan forgiveness. He further said that I could double-up on payments so that I could pay off the total in half the time. He said that I needed to submit 2 paystubs or my 2021 W-2s. I was pressured to sign the agreement quickly or miss a deadline that would affect my qualifying for the program, so I signed electronically after cursorily reviewing the documents on my phone - I had no access to a computer with internet at the time.September 2022 I received a notice from ****** that my loan had been placed on forbearance. When I called ************, he said that it was only an administrative procedure so that I did not get behind on payments while his company was taking over the servicing of the loan.January 2023 Notified by ****** that my forbearance was ending. I had been led to believe that the payments of $249.75 were toward the balance on my loan, not to A1 Consulting. And my new payment was $94.13, only about $2 less than what I had been paying previously - not the $44.64 that I had been told by ************.
