This fence was installed on my neighbors property. Redmond fence installed a gate allowing access to my property and refuses to remove it. They say this a professionally installed fence. I stated you need my consent to access my property and I'm not consenting to this, nor was I contacted and asked for permission. If they use this gate my property must be accessed and I'm not allowing anyone on my property to do so. They say it's for well access to repair the well. I said the gate should be on the front of the neighbors property. Redmond said the neighbors didn't want to pay to install the needed culvert for the street facing gate so they decided using my property access would bypass that expense and that it's within the county code to do this. I said no one is using my property to access that well and you conned my aging neighbors. This is not going to stand, and I want this gate replaced with fencing . I filed a complaint with pictures to the county code enforcement and my county commissioner is not happy with it either. Who does this? Redmonds says it's a great install. Well then why doesn't every fence they install have a side gate for neighbors to just come and go? Who is ok with this? Not anyone I know! This is a homeowners insurance risk for me, not them!

Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2022/08/03) */ On Friday Mr. ******** went to ******** and made a complaint about our company without contacting Redmond Fencing or the neighbor first. I saw the complaint, called the owner of the property, they got back to me on Sunday, I called for a meeting with the owner of the property and Mr. ******** at the owners property. After talking for over a hour with the home owners and Mr. ******** we all came to a agreement to make everyone happy and we will be moving the gate per the customers request. Redmond Fencing can not legally go on someone's property when the job is finished and remove a gate the customer paid for And that is in fact on the customer's property. I had to wait until the property owner stated what he had wanted to do with the gate. When we install a fence we have to get it approved from the Zoning department, and we did have the approval with the gate and fence being where it currently is. The homeowner was under the impression that there was a 10ft easement to access the power pole that sits in the middle of both properties. After contacting valley electric they did state that there should be 5ft on both property lines to make 10ft to access the pole, or if there is a fence or gate that they can not access the power pole the fence will come down at the owners expense. I believe this issue is resolved between Mr. ******** and Redmond Fencing as of August 31, 2022. Consumer Response /* (2000, 9, 2022/08/04) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) I have agreed to give Redmonds 2 weeks from Aug 1stto replace the gate accessing my property. So in good faith I'm resolving the issue because they promise they will be coming back to replace the gate with fencing.
