Nearly FIVE MONTHS ago, my 2010 Dodge Challenger suddenly stopped working while driving down the highway. I had the vehicle towed to the local Dodge dealership (Saiata Trudeau) where they quickly determined that an ongoing RECALL issue that I had not been made aware (specifically a tendency for the vehicle timing chain to suddenly fail) was the likely cause of the sudden failure. I was informed that because it was an open RECALL issue, that they would be unable to do any other diagnostic or restorative measures to the vehicle until it was resolved. That was FIVE MONTHS AGO - and they have done absolutely nothing to attempt to perform the outstanding RECALL work. I have returned frequently to inquire about it but they just keep saying "next week" and I am at my wit's end. I am very fortunate that I have a family member that was able to loan me a vehicle or I would surely have lost my job by now, as it's in a fairly remote location and I absolutely require a car to get there. I was shocked to discover they had a complaint free A+ rating from the BBB. I have many anecdotal stories from other local residents of the area complaining about them, but they continue to operate as they though this is perfectly okay. I just want them to do they work they said was required - the RECALL work that is needed to make the vehicle safe to drive - in a timeframe that isn't being measured in seasons of the year.

We apologize for how long this has taken it is a very rare circumstance because the repair is not completing a recall  it completing a repair.  The belief is the failure was caused because the recall was never completed.  We must in this case get authorization to complete the repair, to get that authorization requires a diagnosis and back and forth communication with the manufacture providing  proof the recalled part was the source of the failure.  There is also a labor shortage in that we along with most dealerships are unable to find and hire enough qualified technicians to keep up. They have at this point authorized the repair and it has been assigned to a technician for completion.
