I bought a car end of July 2024, and was assured that the owner personally makes sure all cars sold are working well/tuned up before being sold, and that if I do have any issues with the car to bring it back and they'd be happy to fix it. I noticed that night that the tire pressure sensor light was on and the driver's seat recline function didn't work right. I let them know, and they said they'd fix it when they weren't so busy. I never heard back. Come September (just after I'd made my first car payment) I stopped for gas on the way home and after putting gas in, the car suddenly wouldn't start/check engine light came on. I had my FIL look at it and we discovered that there was NO oil in it. It had never leaked, the check engine/oil lights had never come on, and I'd only had it for barely over a month. He put oil in it and it started up again, I called the dealership, and had a mechanic friend took a look the next day. Friend said all the lights should have come on weeks ago and that they "sold me a Lemon". The car died while I was driving home that night and I called the dealership again. They towed the car to their shop, said they'd fix it, and then ghosted me. They've had my car for a month and I can't get an answer on what the resolution is. My financer reached out also to see about a trade-in for a different car and couldn't get ahold of them either. My mom was able to get ahold of them, and they told HER that me putting oil in the car blew the engine so they won't do anything to fix it and I have to pay for a new engine. I also got a CarFax report and found out it had a ton of work done in early 2023, and it seems like it was then sold 4 different times in less than a year time span based on all the "title issued" "emissions test passed" and "registration issued" items there are back to back. I'm still paying for the car and it's essentially being held hostage. I can't even trade it in anywhere else because it's useless, and they still won't call me back.

purchase a truck in April 2024 for towing purposes the owner, John M******* Sold me the truck for $19,000 cash a Ford 350 super duty i left the truck there an extra day was told by the owner he was going to To make sure everything was filled, he was going to top off the fluids in his words. I drove four hours Back to my home and waited for the pink slip so that I could register it and take it into town to get serviced after numerous phone calls and text messages and no answer from the owner. I decided to get it towed to get it Service since I didn't have a registration to drive it once I got it into the service department, we looked up the Vin number. The car had not been serviced in three years. There was no transmission fluid. There was no oil. Nothing was done to the truck prior to purchasing it. The service department could not believe someone sold a car that unsafe. still don't have a registration, no answer from the dealership
