I hired Grace G********* to do my wedding hair and makeup through La Belle Peau. My contract was for the following services: 1 bridal hair, 1 bridal makeup, 1 trial for both hair and makeup, 3 bridesmaid makeup and 2 bridesmaids hair services. Two months before my wedding, Grace canceled the hair portion of my contract, without a refund. I am owned half what I have paid, for a total of $845. I have repeatedly contacted Grace, and she has not answered my texts, emails or calls.

I hired Grace G********* from La Belle Peau for hair and makeup services for my upcoming wedding in October 2022. I signed a contract on May 4, 2021, and met her in person for a makeup trial on May 19, 2021. I have paid her a total of $1,446 since May ($964 on May 4, $241 on October 30, and $241 on December 1). She canceled her services with me on December 14, 2021, to pursue another business venture, a non-profit called Urban Lotus Project. In her cancelation email, she promised to pay me back in full but asked for patience. I was patient at first then I reached out via email to check in on the refund process throughout December and was told she'd look into it. January came and I tried to stay in contact with her but she wasn't very responsive on email, so I moved to text message because I was getting worried. Throughout January and February, I was met with every excuse from her (family emergency, computer broken, phone broken, her other business needs, technology issues, bank issues, etc.). The situation was stressing me out so much that my fiance, ******* ********, had to intervene to help me out. He emailed her and texted her and managed to get in contact with her. She said she would send a tracking number for the check that she planned to send in the mail. That tracking number never came and she ceased communication. She was unreachable at this point, stole my money, and is attempting to run without consequence. She blocked us on the phone, social media, and Venmo (payment app). We attempted to reach out through a letter in the mail and managed to get her to email us again. She finally sent a personal check in the mail in April but it immediately bounced. We disputed two of the charges to our banks and when the bank reached out to her (as the merchant), she told the bank that services were provided, therefore the bank didn't refund us. She is now unreachable again. She is a fraudulent business owner.
