On 12/31/2022 I booked a stay through VRBO and on 1/2 received a confirmation about my stay from 1/13 - 1/22. I also received a confirmation for my keys in advance of my reservation. My PayPal account was fully charged for the location at Kramer's Midtown through ReserveStay. On 1/13 when I was leaving SFO, I reached out to the host listed on the VRBO listing asking if I could potentially check in early. After 17 hours, of not hearing anything and while en route to Reno, I called several times and left messages finally at 4 pm when I was scheduled to check in I was able to contact an emergency after-hours number to find out the owner was not accommodating any reservations. I was never contacted about this situation, nor was VRBO. When speaking to the person at the after-hours I indicated this was a fraud and told me it was not, however, the host (Chris F***) advertised a property on VRBO that was not available, nor canceled my reservation with advance notice or informed VRBO and I was charged, this is FRAUD. All the person at Kramer's Midtown could offer was for me to contact VRBO and it was their fault. VRBO is trying to help me, but this situation left me stranded with nowhere to go on a busy 3-day MLK weekend. I had been planning this trip since 12/31 and decided to combine a ski trip with my pet's vet visits. I travel with 2 dogs and am displaced even with VRBO trying to help especially on a sold-out weekend given the bail and switch advertising this corporation should be investigated. VRBO had no communication and when trying to resolve the situation attempted to call Kramer's Midtown (Chris F***) and was unsuccessful and I'm basically stuck out in the cold. Can you imagine showing up at your confirmed reservation only to find out you didn't have one with 2 dogs and nowhere to go and try to find something? Totally unacceptable and others should be aware of these poor management practices.

On May 26th 2022 I purchased, in full, a room with Kramer's Midtown for a two night stay in the amount of $479.30. The money was deducted from my account as it was supposed to be. I flew into Reno from SC and on my way to Reno I got a call from this company requesting a card to put on file for a $50 deposit. I attempted to use my card and they advised me that "they don't accept this type of visa". I had already paid them $479.30 so that was a little puzzling. As I had no where else to stay I (with permission) provided them with a different card and they said they do not accept that type of visa either. When I landed in Reno I Ubered to the location of the hotel to handle the matter in person only to find that they do not have staff on site. At this point with no where to go I was standing in their parking lot in 90+ degree weather and spent a total of 2 hours on the phone with a female that claimed to be their manager. The female was extremely rude and said was absolutely not even willing to be of any help, I told her I was stuck with no where to stay and she pretty much said "sorry about your luck". They demanded that I cancel the reservation, this was never something I wanted and I begged them multiple times to not make me cancel. The company forced me to cancel my reservation and since I had booked through a traveling service I was unable to cancel properly and Kramer's was of no assistance. Kramer's kept the money out of my account and refuses to reply to me attempting to contact them on multiple occasions. This is a very short version of this experience. This manager was very rude, showed no empathy or professionalism of any sort. I was forced to cancel due to a $50 deposit that they refused to take from me.
