This document is a follow up to my prior complaint, that I submitted to the BBB in October, 2022. Complaint # is 645080. Copies were also sent to the FTC, and the Oregon AG. I also contacted my financial institution and implemented steps to protect my accounts. There have been frequent phone calls and voice mail messages notifying me of my incurring additional charges to pay for the service that I did not agree to or the service that I did not authorize. Two Feb. contacts from Instinct Tools were a voice message from Richmondville, NY on 02/13/2023, phone number 5401, demanding a payment of $18,800 for services rendered and another on 02/20/2023 that were identified from Instinct Tools with no demands but were left on voice mail. There were three phone contacts prior to February’s two contacts, those occurred during the month of January 2023. These phone demands were on 01/10/2023, 01/20/2023 and 01/31/2023. The call on January 31st threatened me with legal action. The 01/20/2023 call referred the prior billing of $10,800.00. And the call on 01/10/2023 was a continuing message to pay Instinct Tools for services rendered. When I read the BBB complaint followup message, they indicated that Instinct Tools contact information no longer was valid. This suggested that this company was no longer in business and that is was not a legitimate enterprise. The BBB also added a note of caution to be careful of dealing with this company. I sent this message to inform the BBB that their assumption that this is no longer a viable concern might be in error. Because of these phone calls and voice messages, this concern might be operating under another company name with different personnel, location and phone numbers.

They called my elderly father, posing as someone from his bank. They said his bank was being hacked. Told him to send a check for $4,600 to fix it. Said if he didn't they would pull even more money from his account. He sent the check. He told us about this a couple weeks after the check was sent. I'm furious.

On Feb 24/22 my computer got an urgent message that my computer was being hacked and not to turn off my computer and to phone the attached phone number for help. A Catharine B gave me directions to supposedly fix the computer problem. Then asked me to leave the computer on for an hour while they fixed it. When completed they advised my that I needed to pay Instinct Tools $250 U.S. for their services and to mail the check to **** *** ***** ******* **  The next day I received a phone call asking me when I would be mailing the check. I feel that I have been the victim of a scam. I will not be mailing the check.
