I paid $5,487 to Cooney & Tyner Orthodontics on 2/1/2022 for orthodontic treatment. Treatment lasted from 2/1/2022-7/26/2023. Around a year into treatment what the doctor called “inter-proximal reduction” was performed. That wasn’t the procedure he performed as he left gaps between 4 of my front bottom teeth. They’re refusing to provide compensation even though I have photo evidence and needed to pay over $2000 to fix the damage.

We take all feedback seriously and strive to provide the highest standard of care to all our patients. We understand that orthodontic treatment can be a deeply personal experience, and we regret that you were dissatisfied with your outcome. While we understand your dissatisfaction with the results, we want to assure you that your treatment was performed with the utmost precision and care, in accordance with standard orthodontic practices. Our team is dedicated to delivering quality outcomes, and we remain confident in the care we provide to all of our patients. We wish you all the best moving forward.Sincerely,Dr. Cooney, Dr. Tyner, and the Team at Cooney & Tyner Orthodontics

    Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.   The practice denied accountability by stating they’ve done nothing wrong. Logically, if that were true I would not have been provided treatment for “dark triangles” between my bottom teeth that weren’t present in my before photos. Any patient who’s required to receive “interproximal reduction” would not have large gaps between their teeth in the area the “treatment” is performed as interproximal reduction is done due to a lack of space between teeth. It’s also only supposed to reduce 2mm or less which would not create gaps. You can see I did not have gaps to begin with and if I did he would not have shaved that area of my teeth down.   Regards,  ****** *****
