I have a car leasing through Bethpage FCU and I moved from ** to MD in the begging of the year and since then (01/07/2022) I have been asking Bethpage to submit the documents and paperwork to MD MVA in order to have my car registered here. They are not answering my requests and every time I call them they say I have to wait. DMV NY sent me a notice stating they will suspend my drivers and registration if I have not my state transfer done until 03/03/2022. I have tried everything I can to have Bethpage to do their part but it looks like they are not willing to. I spoke with a couple of representa at Bethpage. On the phone I already spoke with ****** ******* and Maddie ********** , sent email, sent secured messages via their website etc.

I have a lease through Bethpage FCU and was never notified of lease end. Most all companies provide a lease end date and options available to consumer. They provided nothing. I called and was told i would have to request lease end options. Most people don't even know when lease ends. They also have conflicting documents when my leases end states 3/22 and they have it as 2/28. I was also quoted a cheaper interest rate then they changed it. They don't give you enough time to apply for a cheaper loan due to no notification. Requested the executive office to call back and no one has at this time.

In response to the correspondence, we connected with you on February 28, 2022 and reviewed the following:

Bethpage provides notices to our members, via standard mail, regarding the maturity of a lease on three separate occasions (180/90/60 days from maturity). We have confirmed that all notices were sent to the address referenced in your complaint correspondence. These notices were addressed to the primary member listed on the loan.
We reviewed the closing documents with you, including the original **** of sale and loan agreement, which included the dates in question. Your first payment was due at origination (November) the next was due on January 1, 2019 beginning a 39-month term which matured in March 2022.

Lastly, rates and terms are subject to change without notice. All offers of credit are subject to credit approval and not all applicants will qualify for the lowest rate and may be offered credit at higher rates based on creditworthiness.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

    [Your Answer Here]

I have worked out this with the executive office.   Once it was explained at corporate level it was taken care of.  Also now i wait or buy out paperwork since that's delayed also. I was never given notice prior to lease ending.  Also Car Dealers often take first month payment and hold it til paperwork is done and bank is given time to get paperwork together.  who ever responded back can say what ever they want about the loan origination date, but the lease agreement is what is binding.  The lease agreement states 39 monthly payments beginning january 1, 2019.  So that puts the maturity of loan 4/22 which violated contract.  So they need to work better with car dealers and there leasing companies going forward.

In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

    Sincerely,
