Purchased a carbonfiber hood for a *********************** June of 2023 from JM Auto Racing.com located at ********************************************************. ***** Phone# **************, for $2200, PO# *****(29871). After nearly 3 months and multiple phone calls, the hood comes in. During inspection of the hood, its obvious there is an issue with the mounting brackets are upside down inside the hood molding. There is no way to alter nor fabricate the brackets to make it work properly. Jm auto Racing was contacted immeditly, and *** or **** was the sales rep handling the issue. He put the issue off on the manufacturer, stating i would have to contact them directly to submit pictures and discuss options, which i did. The manufacturer confirmed recieving the pictures and requested information, and said they would get back to me. After several days, i call manufacturer back, and was told the issue was under review. This was frustrating, because i purchased the same exact hood from this company 2 years prior. So i provided pictures of the first hood i purchased that obviously works, and comparison pictures of the second hood, which clearly does not. So it is very clear to see what the problem is, and that there is no way to corrrct the manufacturers mistake! Week or two go by and i contact JM Auto Racing, and *** or **** says he would figure it out. I call him back several days later, *** or **** states he worked it out that a Replacement hood would be sent to me, and i would recieve it no later than December 2023. The beginning of Janurary ****, no hood, no info. Again i contact JM Auto and request a Refund. They explain the hood has to be returned before a refund can be issued. As requested i package hood as instructed, take and email requested pictures of packaging. Got verification the pictures were recieved, and told shipping info would be sent. That was 2 weeks ago, and i have emailed and called multiple times and got no response in return. Issue is going on 8 months, i want a refundBusiness response

This is hood is sold quite often with no complaints. As this is a specially made to order item, meaning that the manufacturer only produces them one at a time, and not in batches, it is subject to all terms under our Special Order policy that is stated on the website. As is such, you are protected from items that have any type of fitment issue, but any return or replacement is subject to that of the manufacturers discretion. They have decided to replace the hood. ETA initially provided by the manufacturer is late December/ early January. We would never give a firm delivery date as it's something we do not have control over. That is why it is called an ETA as in estimated time of arrival. The replacement was delayed in shipping to ******* and is currently in port awaiting customs inspection and clearance. Factors that us nor the manufacturer have any control over.Initial Complaint

This concerns my order PO#*****. I called on cancel the order on November 10th due to selling my car and receiving an email from you on November 6th at 12:35 pm the shipment of the Bilstein B12 (*********) has been delayed until approximately 12/29/2023. A representative from JM Auto Racing provides instructions to cancel my order, then later calls me to tell me he received an updated email that my order has been shipped. Problem is I already sold my car. Now I have ***** trying to deliver the shocks almost forcing me to take off work to receive them. I need a return authorization to have these return. No one is answering the phone. I understand that you have no control of delays but this is ridiculous to be told that the shipping has been delayed to the end of December and now they are here and I sold the car. I should not be charged any fees for errors on the manufacturer or JM Auto Sports. To this day, I have not received any other emails regarding my order has been shipped.Business response

Looking into this , everything the customer has stated was correct. However, this order was placed in August. The part was a special order item from Bilstein. The item shipped November 9th per email sent to us on November 9th at 9:53pm eastern time, after we were closed. The tracking information shows this. The customer called in the morning to cancel the order. Tracking was not yet posted from the previous night when the customer submitted the cancellation request. We promptly contacted him back minutes later letting him know the item shipped.
While the manufacturer did send an update for a delay on November 6th, for which the customer was notified, they were incorrect. The item shipped prior to the cancellation. We told the customer today , 11/15, that we would reach out to the manufacturer to see if they will waive "THEIR" restocking fee for special order items . Then we receive a BBB complaint when nothing here has been our fault. Customer had 3 months to cancel the order.
We have authorized the customer to return this product once he has it in his possession.

I ordered the *** header and catless downpipe with black ceramic coating from them which got delivered February 9th.This is a made to order item (as they claimed) and my invoice CLEARLY says that its for the 1ZZ and they didnt bother to double check before placing an order with *** and I received a header and downpipe for a 2ZZ.How complacent can a company be? I emailed today for a refund because this is NOT MY MISTAKE and clearly either JMautosports or ***s mistake.I swear on everything I love that if they dont give me a full refund I will **** I do not want another order to be placed because I highly doubt it would be accurate.And if they even dare try to charge me a restocking fee FOR YOUR mistake. I will take this to court. Try and test me.Customer response

Date of transaction:6/23/2022 Item purchased was a VIS racing external styling carbon fiber *********** 350Z. Order number ***** Tracking numbers: there are two ********* and *********.When I ordered I did get a hood, but it was damaged, they picked up the damaged hood and sent out another, this one was the wrong item, so that was returned. The third item they said was sent out but I never received it (tracking number *********) reached out to shipping company and confirmed that they had the slip but no item. Contacted JM auto several times via email, and by calling and was given the run around. This has gone on for way too long for there not to be a resolution. Meanwhile I am out of $1332.50. At this point I don't want the hood anymore, I would just like a refund so I can clear my accounts that it was paid out of.Business response

Customer contacted us 3 months after the order was made letting us know about the issues. If was handling directly with VIS without our involvement and without or knowledge. We are attempting to get ahold of the manufacturer to get clarity on the situation.Initial Complaint

November 2021 I ordered a custom hood from jmautoracing and once I receive it and unpack it I notice a bad stratch on it...I sent a picture of it to jmautoracing and they are placing the blame on the trucking company that delivered it and said they would file a complaint with the trucking company....more than 3 months have passed and still nothing has happen.... I am looking to be reimbursed some of the cost of the hood.... thanksBusiness response

Good Morning,
This hood was initially signed for as "no damage" upon being received. It was reported 3 weeks after delivery and installation that there was a scratch on the hood. A claim was filed with the freight company which was denied due to the fact that the item was signed that no damage upon receipt, and that it was reported weeks after being installed.
