    I am writing to address a pressing matter concerning the tuition payment I made for my children, ************************* and ******************, for the summer camp "Leader," scheduled for the period of 07/23/2023 - 08/06/2023.On September 13, 2022, I made a full tuition payment for both of my children via Zelle money transfer from my checking account to the camp's designated account. This payment was in accordance with the online form I completed earlier, as well as the necessary medical forms that were provided to meet the camp's requirements.As you may recall, on May 25, 2023, I received an email notification informing me of the camp's unfortunate financial difficulties, resulting in the cancellation of the camp for the summer of 2023. In response, I promptly contacted your office on June 5, 2023, expressing my desire to request a refund for the paid tuition. The initial response indicated that the refund process would take approximately 2-3 months. However, it has now been well beyond that period, and I have yet to receive any communication or confirmation regarding the refund status.Subsequently, I reached out again on August 24, 2023, inquiring about the refund process. Regrettably, I have not received any response whatsoever. This lack of communication has left me deeply concerned and frustrated, especially given the circumstances surrounding the camp's abrupt closure and the current inaccessibility of the camp's website, phone lines, and email channels.I would like to highlight that the situation I am facing appears to be evolving into a matter of serious concern, indicating fraudulent activities. I also personally know other parents facing same problem with this camp

    When we arrived at Camp Leader on August7, 2022 with our daughter, ************************* (age 12), we immediately noticed the pictures from the website did not look like the actual camp. Parts of the camp appeared to be more like a trailer park. Upon arrival we were instructed to have ****** to complete a COVID-19 test. We were expecting this and brought our own test kit. We were instructed to complete the test immediatelyadjacent to a cigarettebutt disposal area. While we were checking ****** in, we did not feel comfortable with how the process was going and how the staff was treating ****** and ourselves.We reluctantlyleft but came back a short time later to take ****** home. While we were there picking up ****** from her living quarters, we noticed many insects in ******'s living space. There were holes in the walls and things appeared to be in general disarray- not appropriate for children. The area was dirty and there was trash everywhere. Upon talking with ****** further, she said in the short time she was there, she had already been bullied and staff had witnessed the bullying but did nothing to intervene. She also stated some of the campers her age were drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes - again, ****** is 12 years old. With this information we are extremely grateful we returned to remove ****** from this camp.We spoke with ********************************* the Camp Director upon our arrival to pick up ****** and he stated you understood our concerns and that we would receivea full refund shortly. When we did not receiveour refund we senthim an email and ************************ stated we would receiveour refund shortly by September 1st stating "Don't Worry!" When we did not receive a refund by September 1st, we called ************************ on September2, 2022 and he toldus we would receive our refund by September 6, 2022 (the day after Labor Day) and that the refund would come via Zelle (our original payment method).We are asking for a refund in the amount of $1,932.
