On Sep 20, 2021 I signed up to an EMT course with the business. I paid the advance fees of $300. The website did not mention (at least not in a visible place) all the health requirements for the course, including vaccines. $300 was required to sign up. On October 10th, was the first class. The session was dedicated just to logistics and instructions about the course as well as a long session where each student goes to a room and pays. I paid another $1325 for the course + ************ that we were required to buy (that's after I received $50 discount for paying it all together with debit -- both were encouraged). After going over the health requirements at home more closely & checking in with my doctor, it became clear that I won't be able to take the course at the moment because I was lacking a vaccine that I couldnt complete at the time as I was trying to get pregnant. Less than 48 hours after that initial session I informed the company that I cannot take the course & ask to reach a resolution and get some form of refund (and offered to return the ************* they pressed to hold off and for me to attend a course in the future once I can adhere to the requirements. I agreed at the time. A bit later on I got pregnant and it was high risk -- so again I informed that I still cannot take the course, both because of the vaccine and because of the other physical requirements, again they did not want to pay me back and just gave an extension to the time frame in which I can take the course. A year later, after I delivered, I asked my doctor about it and still, I cannot take the course. At this point I asked to reach a resolution. I made it clear that I don't expect $1625 back but for a course I did not attend & informed before actually waisting any resources I do expect some refund. Its been about 3 months at this point of repeated emails & calls and I cannot get an answer. They're just been ignoring me or replying with a follow up question and then disappear again.

We are sorry to hear of the concerns men****ed by ****************. *** **** Or registered for an EMT class starting on 10/04/2021 and attended orienta**** on 10/04/2021. At that session, all required State and School paperwork are completed as well as policies and regula****s clearly gone over. One of the items discussed is a Health Form (which all EMT students are required to complete in order to fulfill their Clinical Rota**** requirement in the course) which is clearly gone through step-by-step and the required vaccina****s are described. One of them is the *** Measles, Mumps and Rubella which is a typical childhood vaccina**** (required by almost all public schools for school attendance).

After the orienta****, each student is assigned to speak to an administrator from our school and students are en- couraged to ask ques****s regarding the course, policies, etc. If the student is satisfied with the answers, they commit to the course and make their tui**** payment. At this point, on 10/04/2021, *** **** Or did pay her tui- **** payment in full ($1050) and received a discount of $50 in doing so.

On 10/06/2021, we were notified by *** **** Or that she did not have the Measles vaccina**** and would re- quire addi****al shots. As per *** *** letter, she was also trying to conceive and was advised by her doctor against taking the shots. Upon hearing from *** **** Or, we immediately assured her (as per policy) that her tui- **** payment of $1050 would be transferrable to a new EMT course to be used within the next six months.

On October 10, 2022, *** **** Or emailed us to tell us that although she had given birth, she was still not allowed to take the vaccine shots and requested a refund. At this point, I believe there was a delay in a response but not due to bad-will on our part. It was just mistakenly deferred and unfortunately, got lost in the process. The fact is and still remains, as per policy, when a student requests withdrawal prior to the 3rd course session, they can trans- fer their funds (as we relayed to the student) or request a pro-rated refund (which was not asked for at the time by the student). If *** **** Or had requested the refund back in October 2021, we would have processed one based on the refund policy noted below.

At this time, we are still willing to grant *** **** Or the refund she is entitled to based on our policy as stated be- low (as noted in our Policies, Rules & Regula****s handbook given to each student at class orienta****)

Where a student voluntarily withdraws from the course, the following refund schedule will be followed:

    • ?  Prior to the first session:

    • ?  Prior to the 3rd session:

    • ?  After the 3rd session:

Full refund less $375.00 Registra**** fee.
75% refund of amount paid towards tui**** (not including the registra**** fee) NO refund

Based on the above, 75% of the $1050 tui**** paid amounts to $787.50. Should *** **** Or agree to this refund amount, we will see that the refund gets processed and expedited quickly for her. We will be waiting to hear from you.

    Sincerely,
