Extremely disappointed with Robmar Construction quality of concrete pour and lack of professionalism. I hired them to do walkway/entry pour and back of house pad. The day of the pour I called early in the am with concerns regarding the rain and was told they were pouring and prepared to deal with the weather. When I saw the pour I called the owner to discuss concerns and he again dismissed them saying guaranteed I would be happy with it and they would finish. He sent a few people to attempt to fix the initial pour, but as it goes with concrete, once it is poured barring ripping it out it can't be fixed. I reached out to resolve the situation professionally to which the owner got increasingly rude. At one point he commented saying “You must not be married” when I was asking questions. When I asked him to walk through the project with me before final payment, he said he doesn’t do that and he was too busy. I asked again after Labor Day weekend and he told me “to lose his number,” and that I would be hearing from his wife. She never called. I got an estimate for repairs from others and was told the front pour was “not to industry standard” by all, that it was not repairable without ripping it out, and it was clearly not done correctly. The following are some of the issues: -poured above the door threshold -asymmetrical indents -large crack formed from the one pole to a hole they didn't fill; cracks in the indents & more holes -didn't pour enough on the sides resulting in mismatched, thin, crumbling patch work that has extensive cracks throughout -tried covering up a hole/unfinished spot with a rock -side edges have many spots of over-pour or ragged edges -end of walkway is less than an inch -top brushing was done swiftly without looking ragged and rough -large cut in one of my poles from equipment. -on back pad used existing pavers to lift the frame, but didn't leave them flush -damage to back lawn with repeated issues trying to get clean fill to level offReview from Dawn P

I contracted with Rob Mar to plow my driveway for $450.00 which paid in full before the snow came. The storm that came in November he had to bring in heavy equipment to clear the snow because there was so much snow. I got a bill in the mail for $180.00 due because he had to get heavy equipment. So now I have paid him $630.00. On December 17, my daughter had to be at work at 12:00 pm. I called Robmar to ask him if he could come and pull out the snow behind my cars. Excuse after excuse. He said he wouldn’t be able to get to my house until 2:00 pm. My daughter asked a neighbor to snowblow behind her car so she could go to work. Robmar finally showed up at my house to get rid of a small patch of snow with something from ******. On December 18, I called Robmar once again and told him that both cars would be out of the driveway so he could please come and drag out all the snow. Never came and never called. I called him once again and told him I was going to call wins and make a complaint with the BBB. Next day I get a phone call at 8:40 in the morning telling me that he’s refund the second half of the money, that he deposited the $180.00 check I sent and told me several times “I’m dropping you like a three foot putt” several times and I don’t want anything to do with you. I was merely asking him to do what he was paid to do. A company that’s been in business for 30 years doesn’t treat a customer like that. I’ll never recommend him to anyone. Today I had tp call ************ to clear out my driveway and it cost $81.52.

Robmar has read the above review and respond as follows: **** ******** clearly does not understand the meanings of snow storm, travel bans etc. If she read the contract that she signed she would understand the terms and conditions involved during a snow event. I personally talked Ms. ******** couple of times during the first snow event in November and she is a mean and unkind person. Robmar will not respond to Ms. ********’s frivolous allegations but know that Robmar’s safety is a priority during a snow event and if she read the contract she signed she would understand. We will honor our contract with Ms ******** through December and cancel the contract and refund money January 1st. We have another snow event starting tomorrow December 23rd and the same rules about safety and unplowed streets will apply. Happy Holidays! Beth P*******
