A new raised bed septic system was installed by Barefoot Septic in August 2023. On 12/17/2023 I had lost power to half of the house due to damage caused by Barefoot Septic. Please see attached information. I did have the entire ******** line replaced. That work was done by ****** ********. I am asking that Barefoot pay the invoices from ******* and ****** ******** (which I have not yet received I have contacted Barefoot Septic after the first failure and before the second failure. They have refused to pay.

***** ***** had contacted us for a septic replacement. As required by law, we initiated an 811 dig safe markout for utilities before work began, as outlined in the first attachment, showing that the excavation area was deemed clear of public utilities. I have attached the estimate for septic repairs (attachment #2), highlighting our disclaimer that we are not responsible for underground private utility damage, as it is not always clear to an excavator that there may be a private utility buried in the ground. When the ******** line was damaged, ***** was notified as was ******** **** ******** who came out and made a repair to the line and reconnected power.  The ongoing issue was unforeseen and we felt the matter resolved. Even though we generally stick to our "no responsibility for damage to utilities", we feel as a good faith effort that we would like to assist with a partial reimbursement for the repairs. We have sent an offer to ***** to pay the 2 initial invoices totaling $1,991.76. ***** has agreed to this amount (attachment #3) and we will consider this matter closed.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is as satisfactory as I am going to get..   Regards,  ******** *****
