I've been a customer since Mike purchased the pharmacy and have known Mike at his prior pharmacy employer. Mike has always been helpful, courteous, knowledgeable and professional.Review from Sharon M

I let me start by saying I’ve been going there for years probably like 20 years. Well Vince is no longer the owner. This guy Mike is the owner like the guy loves his wife kind people but last month he’s hired this pharmacist she is mean and I mean mean person she made it difficult for me to get anything anything and so I called and talk to Mike today he’s really reasonable well, he said to me that I am no longer welcome there and then he was going to send my prescriptions back and I said what do you mean? Who do you think you are he was gonna call my doctor and send my prescription back. He didn’t even listen to my story he just did what he wanted and I said you don’t you call my doctor I will be there to get my prescriptions, and that woman should be fired and you I will never step in to this pharmacy again I’d like to know if I can go ahead and get a hold of who’s ever in charge of hiring these pharmacist that abuse their jobs. This woman is so rude treat me like garbage I really need to have this answered.

Unfortunately, the issue here is that the patient wanted a prescription to be filled earlier than permitted by insurance and the laws of the State of New York. Although we have accommodated other requests for this patient in the past, this was a request that the licensed pharmacist on duty, in their clinical and legal judgement, determined that the prescription was too early to be filled. The patient then attempted to bully the pharmacist into filling the prescription early and proceeded to insult the pharmacist and call them names. This behavior is not tolerated at the Medicine Shoppe. Pharmacists are licensed professionals and should be treated as such. Due to this patient's behavior, and the fact that they have done this on another occasion in the recent past, we asked this patient to find another pharmacy and contacted the prescriber to inform them of this decision.
