This is a fraudulent business. It charged my insurance an exorbitant amount of money for a cleaning, x-rays and 5 minute dentist review. I knew l had a serious problem with a tooth - l suspected it was impacted. The gum was inflamed and my temperature was elevated for weeks. The dental hygienist said the x-rays looked great and everything was fine. I went back a week later because it was worse and they took X-rays and this time said l had an impacted tooth and needed a root canal. They completely missed it the first time around while an infection was growing AND THAT IS VERY SERIOUS. They quoted me btw $5000-$6000 and l left. I went to another dentist who handled the procedure expertly at less than half of the price. I cannot believe Aspen Dental is allowed to operate as a business. It is corrupt, dishonest, poorly staffed, and offers poor service in filthy rooms. The room l was in contained a huge tank that took up much of the room, even overlapping the dental chair! How can this be legal? DO NOT GO TO ASPEN DENTAL FOR ANY KIND OF DENTAL SERVICE!!!! It doesn’t even deserve one star

The general staff is great. The item I take issue upon is predatory practices with billing and lending. I started with a intake screening form, which is standard practice. The front office clerk took my insurance card. And gathered my information. At no point was It brought to my attention that my insurance is not in their coverage network. So I was allowed to proceed Thinking that my insurance would cover at least some portion of treatment. So x rays we're taken. Teeth were charted. A doctor sat down and explained to me what they saw on x rays. And what her recommended treatment plan would be. Then a Dental hygienist saw me And explain to me what she had seen after she conducted her own inspection of my gums and teeth. Basically she Said that I Have early gum disease. And that I would require A two stage treatment. Both Dentist and dental hygienist Informed me that I needed to consult with the office manager about a treatment plan. The manager Told me that I needed fourteen thousand dollars worth of treatment. And that my health care coverage would only cover two thousand. We decided to talk only brass tax about the tooth that was causing me pain led me to come in. That Actually only actually only was about five thousand dollars worth of work ( A single root canal and crown) which I'm pretty sure for syracuse is too expensive. Only after watching a video about gum disease and two doctors scaring me was it disclosed that my insurance was not accepted by the doctor. So the manager informed me that I would be receiving payment from the insurance company directly and then paying them. Common sense would dictate that the insurance company would want to vet this company, and that A claim would not be a guarantee. At this point I was led to basically take a loan out with a list of creditors from the dentist. At only covering two thousand five hundred dollars and a 37% interest rate... I'm going to pass. The earliest appt is in a month.

Aspen Dental telephone book ad said free exam and x-rays. Walk-ins welcome which I did on September 21, 2023. The dentist said gum work done, which my regular dentist in Auburn NY disagreed. I paid my bill with their 20% discount $121.60 a few months ago. On 5/17/24 I received another bill for $30.40. No dental work was done for the reasons above, which is why filed my complaint a few times if the past 4-5 weeks.

I had made an appointment to have X-rays, and a cleaning done weeks ahead of time. When I had gone to my appointment I was told AFTER I had then done my X-rays that they would not be doing a cleaning, it was standard practice to have a cleaning done on a separate day from my X-ray. At no point was I told this was a standard procedure prior. Basically a very underhanded business practice.

Went to Dewitt aspen dental on 11/08/2023. In 4 separate phone calls prior to apt., i made it clear i needed a tooth put back in an existing denture, and i would then discuss the details and cost of getting new dentures. When i was taken in back for apt. the technician immediately wanted to take a complete set of x-rays. i questioned what would be the reason for x-rays when i needed a repair on a removable denture. Technician responded 'that's our procedure'. i tried to explain that an x-ray would have no bearing on a denture repair but tecnician insisted i needed an x-ray first. i explained that i was unwilling to pay for an x-ray that had nothing to do with a denture repair and was told that they refused to help me unless i followed their rules. An obvious SCAM to get money in case you didn't go through with their treatment plan. And don't bother with Aspen Customer service. All they wanted to do was recommend another Aspen office.

If you go to Aspen Dental you must be very desperate. They will try to talk to you in to procedures you don't need. Not once have they kept a scheduled appointment then they wonder why your teeth are dirty. We have found a new Dentist and they won't forward my records. If you have special needs please don't go there.

Worst experience of my life. Dentist Adam B******** DMD in plattsburgh ny location practiced negligently, prioritized revenue over patient care. His decision (his OWN) left me with 8+ mo (so far) with bothphysical (daily) and enotional pain. I lost all self esteem. I have self isolated, rarely leave house. No interest in activity prev involved. Currently pursuing legal dispute. They don't show any remorse or even empathy for completely changing my life (obv negatively) I had always told myself that I would always live life and not just exist. That was before I contacted Aspen Dental.
