On October 24th of 2023, I paid ******************* of Numat Fence $425 ( a down payment) for one section of fencing that I was quoted $850. He does not accept credit card payment and asked to be paid by ***** ************ said the fence would take several months to complete and he would get in touch with me. In December when I called, I got a message on his machine that there would be no further installations until March. I texted and called several times to ask when in March my section of fence would be installed. I have not heard back from ************ since then. Each time I call I get the same message that I got in December. He never answers any of my texts.Customer response

On April 13, 2022, ************************** contracted and signed an agreement to build a front porch railing. Cost: $1800.00. We gave him $900.00 cash deposit on the aforementioned date. We left several messages since April, never receiving any return calls as to when the work would be done. NO WORK DONE...& NO COMMUNICATION...We want our deposit refunded.Business response

We contacted Numat to work on fence installation and signed a document with them and put down a 50% deposit in cash. We were told that the fence would be ordered and installed in a few weeks. Numat is now no longer returning phone calls or emails. I am very concerned, especially given the other complaints that have been filed recently, that this is now a fraudulent business enterprise.Business response

We entered into contract to purchase and install a fence on April 20/21 of 2022. At the time of signature I was required to leave a deposit of $2,600 of the total contracted value of $4,300. I verified the check was cashed the next day. I was told the install date would be mid-May and I would contact Numat to schedule the install as the permit application process was nearing completion. I began contacting Numat through phone calls to the business line and have left voicemails. I have texted the owner on the same number used to arrange the quote. I have emailed the business using the business email address used which was formerly used for correspondence. I visited the business during business hours several times and rang the **** but got no answer, it looked like the vehicles hadn't moved in quite a while and there was merchandise piled outside the business dating back to April. I attempted to contact the owner to schedule an install for 4+ weeks but the owner has been completely unresponsive after taking my deposit. June 17th I sent a final notice via email that if I did not hear back from the business to schedule the install date by June 23, 2022 I would be cancelling the contract and my deposit would need to be refunded. I have not heard back from the business, they are completely unreachable. My next step will be going to my lawyer on Friday June 24 to discuss the necessary legal action. I would like my $2,600 deposit returned to me immediately as I intend to sign with another company which can complete the job for me.Customer response

We contacted Numat for a quote before the pandemic and then it was delayed for a while, understandably. We paid a $2,000 cash deposit and then reconnected with Numat and got a revised quote 5/2021 confirming that this deposit was paid and the balance that was due. We reconnected again with Numat and discussed a change in materials for our fence in March of 2022. Since that time Numat has not returned our calls. Their voicemail box is often full. We are completely unable to contact them to begin work despite regular voicemail and text messages we have left *****. We want Numat to either do the work or return our deposit.Business response

On April 13th 2022, Numat Quoted Fence work for ****. I signed a contract and he requested deposit of ***** on that day. check was cashed on April 14th 2022. Hey stated the job would be completed by first week of May, however he never provided a date. Closer to the first week of May I reached out, but did not respond to text. After multiple attempts, He did reach out eventually saying another 2-4 weeks [first week of June] *** weeks later i emailed/texted requesting for a start date , but unfortunately he has not returned many texts/emails or phone calls. I noticed the only other complaint on BBB is the same exact thing happening to another person around the same exact time, not sure what is going on given i have used this company in the past and have been happy with their service. I found Numat Fence on ******** and called to inquire about having a side yard fence installed because of their great reviews. I spoke with the owner, *******************, over the phone and he gave me a quote of $2,100 on the phone. He came out to look at our property and gave me a formal quote of $2,200. On April 12, we agreed to have him do the job, signed a contract, and sent him a $1,000 deposit over Zelle. He confirmed receipt of the deposit and said it would be about a month and that he would order the materials right away. I started contacting him on May 3 asking about a date for the installation. I have contacted him every few days since then (by email, text, phone calls, voicemails, and messages through ********) and he has not responded to any of my messages. At this point, I am concerned that the business is fraudulent.Customer response

I contacted ******************* from Numat Fence last summer to get an estimate for a fence for my backyard. He quoted the total cost for materials and construction at $8800 and agreed to install the fence in April 2022. He required a deposit of $4000, which I paid to him on 1/31/22. All of the materials arrived to him on 4/19/22. He agreed to begin the install later that week, which he said would only take about 2 days. ***** and his workers never appeared for the installation. I texted and called him on 4/26, 4/27, 4/28, and 4/29. He finally picked up on 4/29 and didn't give any reason for not showing up. When I asked if there was any issue with the materials, he said that the materials were all in. When I asked for a reason for why he didn't show up, he did not give one. When I asked him to confirm the rescheduled installation date, he also would not give one. It has been nearly a full month since that phone call and I have tried to get in touch with him many times via email, text, phone and even stopping by his office in person. He has not returned a single message. He was aware that we chose him as our contractor because he had availability to install our fence in April so that we could enjoy the full summer with an enclosed back yard. We are new homeowners with a 1-year-old son and dog and are so upset that we've paid $4000 to a company that has essentially just stolen our money at this point. I would like to receive my deposit refunded back in full.Business response

*********************** from Numat Fence came to my home to give us an estimate on a chain linked fence in our backyard. He quoted us $6700. He told us it would be 2-3 weeks to start the installation for him to get the materials. We signed a contract and agreed that he would contact us within 2 weeks. That was April 20th. We paid a $3,000 deposit via Zelle. April 29th we began contacting ******* to get an official start date. He was not answering any phone calls nor text messages. He finally answered our call on May 7th stating that it would take an additional 2 weeks to get started. At that point, we just wanted our money back. This business is very unresponsive. ******* told us he would zelle us back the money or send a check. He hasnt done either and hes stopped answering phone calls/text messages.
