An otherwise nice carpet and most of the installation was marred by the fact that this installer didnt tack down the carpeting on one of our steps. Empires goal was getting a rating of 10 for this job but Empire remained unreachable to address the problem. It has been weeks since the installation, no call back, no repair. Very surprised and disappointed that a business as large and well advertised as it is, would ignore my complaint. So here i am, giving a not so stellar review.Review from Jiletta K

Do not use Empire carpet. They do not stand by their warranties and the carpet installed is of very low quality. After only a year I had significant wear and crushing. Because carpet was installed on stairs they would not apply 10 year warranty.Review from Mary C

Stay away from Empire Carpet!!! 3 different times they messed up my scheduled appointments causing me loss of business and money and precious time at my end. I would never use or recommend!! They desperately need a working scheduling *****************Review from Kurt C

Do not hire this company! You will regret it a strong arm to me and told me that they would hold my deposit if I did not have the job done. Which was $1,500 make sure that you get a physical contract that you sign not a laptop and not an email they both never show up so you have nothing to tell you that you if you want to cancel that order you have to do it in writing within 3 days.. do not depend on the sales representative to cancel that order or portion of that order they will charge you 25% or all of your deposit! I ordered carpeting and flooring talked to the representative and he said he would cancel it and he did not and so they strong armed me and they said if I was to go ahead and do the flooring they would cancel the carpeting and take the deposit that I placed on the carpeting and place it on the flooring if not they would just keep the whole **** deposit tell me that's legal or ethical which they are not stay clear final warning..Review from Lama A

I had carpet installed, replacing wall to wall carpet on our second floor. There were visible seams after they finished. I called Empire back and they sent someone to try and repair the carpet. This was not the original installer and he did not fix the seam (he only tried to use that spiky roller on it). I called again and the original crew came and took the seam apart and redid it, but the seam was still visible. I called and told empire once more. Finally, the installers came out and replaced the carpet in the whole room. The color was not the same as the original and the seam was still present. I called back and Empire said that they would not do anything more (no partial refund, no more repair attempts). Very disappointed. Cost about $8600.Review from Jean E

I had vinyl tile installed in the kitchen/dining area November 2020. The tiles started coming up before they were 6 months old. They came out and replaced the tiles and 6 months later they started coming up again. Because of circumstances, I was not able to call them to have them replaced until recently. They charged me $200 for the guy to come out and look at the floor. His report said that my house was too hot (it was 70 degrees which it always is) and they also said it was going to be almost $5,000 to "repair" the floor - the original cost was $2,900. This is clearly poor workmanship. I'm going to use every avenue I can to leave honest (bad) review about this company. DO NOT USE THEM.
