I bought 2017 Dodge ram few years back with lifetime oil changes and lifetime warranty. ALL the service has been done at Foggs only. They offered under contract lifetime warranty with free oil changes. They tried to stop the oil changes and I challenged this several months ago. I knew was a breach of contract. They agreed to continue free oil changes. When i was there last the service guy told me i have a cracked oil filter housing and there is a leak and THEY WILL NOT fix. I have a lifetime warranty and they need to fix. I will be contacting BBB and the NYS AG , foggs needs to fix this. **** ***** *** ******* ** *** * **** ** *****

Fogg's Automotive will continue to provide scheduled oil and filter changes at no charge to the owner as per the contract. We have been doing the oil changes for six years and the owner has not paid for one service. The component in question is not listed in section D because it is not an internal engine component. With over 100,000 miles on the engine parts can wear and gaskets can dry out and start to leak. We appreciate the owners business with us and are sorry this repair is not covered.

    Thanks,

    Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Common issue of this leak is during oil change this being overtightened.

I purchased a car in October 2021 which included a ****** that said the car was not involved in any accident. I paid $25,000 + for this car. Last week I wanted to trade this car in for a different car and that dealer said the ****** showed this car was in 2 accidents and that the value was vastly less due to this. So, I could not get another car and I will be paying on this car for another 4 years and it is worth much less than what I paid

Hello and thank you for contacting us on this issue. I pulled this deal packet from our files and it seems as if we followed our deilvery process as usual. We have a delivery checklist and the blank next to ****** is "checked" off meaning we gave the customer the ****** upon delivery which showed a prior accident. I reran ****** for an updated one and it shows Fogg's Auto delivered vehicle on 10/09/21 and there was an additional accident on11/27/21, 6 weeks after delivery of the unit. I am happy to provide both documents I mentioned if needed. Thank you again, Hal T***** GSM

I brought a car from foggs March 17th 2021 and as of August 2022 I had to replace my transmission and now I'm told I need a new engine my car has been at the ****** dealership since June. I only had the car for 1yr and it's under a 100,000 miles. I put 6k down on it. And now I'm out of a car or forced to pay 6500 for a new engine all I want is my engine fixed or a replacement in car. I'm still making payments on this car I have to pay ****** 1100 for the transmission. I'm basically buying a new car while still paying on the car. This is not right and I feel like I was sold a bad car and I should not be responsible for this.

    Hello,

Foggs Automotive has towed  the car from the ****** dealer at our expense and is assisting ******* with the engine concern. The engine does not need to be replaced as the dealer stated it only needs a fuel injector and will be covered by her extended service contract. Foggs Automotive has covered the tow bill and gave her loaner car at no charge. We will also cover her $100.00 deductible as well. We believe she is satisfied with the assistance offered at this time.

    Thank You,
