I called the business in October and asked them to do some work on my vehicle and do a ny state inspection. I payed this business $200 my o2 sensors and evap sensor. When I dropped it off for them to fix they did not fix what I took it ther for. I needed my door pins replaced, they charged me for two, but only replaced one. They replaced my heater core, but never put antifreeze back in the system. Which caused me to break down on the way home. They replaced my battery, which did not need replacing. I just replaced it less than a month prior. The did replace my evap sensor, but not my o2sensors and never refunded the money for the parts that did not get replaced. I paid the business a total of $1906 and only a few of the parts were replaced. My vehicle is still not inspected or fixed. I am not sure what the next steps are, because the business will not return my phone calls.

    03/25/2024

    Dear Sir or Ms:

Mr. ***** contacted me in October 2023 regarding work on his vehicle.  The vehicle came in on October 13, 2023. The check engine light was on and it needed to be inspected.  The codes indicated that a fuel pressure sensor needed to be replaced.  We replaced the fuel pressure sensor and performed a New York State Inspection.  The result of the inspection was the issuance of a 10 day extension because once the issue is repaired the vehicle has to be driven to get the monitors ready and then returned to the garage for reinspection.  The total invoice for that work was $209.46, his receipt for $210 dated October 13, 2023 was payment for that invoice.  On December 1, 2023, Mr. ***** came to my business and paid $200 toward future repairs, that is his receipt for $200 for parts.  On February 21, 2024 the vehicle came in for repairs.  The original appointment was for oil change, O2 sensor & heater core.  Mr. ***** provided his own heater core.  Mr. ***** dropped the vehicle off and left for us to work on, he left a payment of $300 with the vehicle to go toward the repairs.  After the vehicle was here, Mr. ***** began calling and adding to the things he wanted done and stated to April & Felicia that I would have to work with him on the balance if the money down didn't cover it. The door hinges were one of the additions to the list.  The work that was performed was the installation of the heater core he provided, a new battery, a vent valve (that was the code, not an O2 sensor) and 2 door hinge pins (there are 2 in each door).  I explained to him that we were unable to get the ones for the other side and they had to be ordered.  The battery would not have been replaced if it didn't need to be. Mr. ***** came in to pick up his vehicle and made another payment of $300 and signed agreement to pay the balance. Mr. ***** was given a copy of the invoice, if he had just replaced the battery a few months prior, why did he not speak up at the time he signed the invoice? I have attached a copy of the signed invoice and the listed payments.  Mr. ***** has only called here once since picking up his vehicle.  The day he called, I was not here, April answered the phone, she had a line of customers in front of her, the other line ringing and she was the only one here to handle all of it.  Mr. ***** started rattling off that he wasn't a happy customer and continued to go on about not being happy.  She told him that he needed to talk to me about it and that I would be here the next morning.  He continued and he is very hard to understand on the phone, plus she had customers in front of her and the noise from the shop.  She again told him that he needed to talk to me and told him that she was here trying to juggle everything on her own and to call the next morning when I would be here.  He still didn't stop, she finally said to him "look you going off on me about this isn't doing either of us any good, I have a line of customers standing here waiting for me and the other line is going and I don't have time to stay on the phone with you while you ramble on about being unhappy, you have to talk to Rick."  At that point he hung up on her.  He has not called since.  The letter from the BBB is the first knowledge I have about his claim of the vehicle breaking down on his way home.  If that were actually the case, why did he not call the next morning and talk to me as April advised him to do or have the vehicle towed back?  As far as his assertion that he paid $1906, that is a lie, the total of the 2 invoices comes to $1705.52 and as you can see from the attached invoice 45903, his $200 payment on December 1, 2023 is applied to this invoice and the invoice still has a balance of $696.06 that remains unpaid.  I trusted him to charge and to make payments and instead he files a claim with the BBB stating he paid $1906 and wanting me to return money to him that he hasn't even paid.  The resolution he wants is money returned or work completed, he hasn't finished paying for the work that we did complete and we will not do any additional work for him until he does.
