On 6/24/22, I purchased a "package" from Nutropia, meal service delivery company, 60 days of meals (3 meals/2 snacks/day) to be ordered at my convenience. A charge of $1500 was made to my Amex card, I never ordered and did not receive any meals. In July of 2022, 21 unauthorized $1500.00 charges totaling $31,000. 00 were fraudulently charged to my ******************************'s owner, *****************************, through phone calls/text messages/emails, assured me full refund. However, he lied about refunding the money, stating he was sending certified check, a driver delivering check, Square refunding and more. Delaying, blatantly lying and scamming. I contacted AmEx. AmEx mismanaged claim, no resolution over a year (total of $6,778.02 interest has accrued to date). Nutropia has history of engaging in similar fraudulent activities with others, including patients.I implored the Better Business Bureau to both demand **************** conduct a thorough investigation and facilitate a prompt resolution of my claims. Attachments: transaction receipts, communication records with ***************************** 1. that these charges were unauthorized 2. that I did not use this service, and 3. his admittance that the money should be refunded.4. Detailed communication with Amex substantiating that Nutropia was a bad actor, committing fraud and they did not act in a timely manner.I am making a claim both against *********************************, owner of Nutropia and **************** for the mismanagement, not abiding by the contract to cover fraudulent payments and not removing charges and interest promptly.While I have a platinum card and a longstanding Amex cardholder, who pays in full monthly for over 20 plus years. Amex has not been helpful, and, in fact, I believe they have been negligent allowing so much time that the company folded in spite of the numerous efforts and documentation we provided them and despite the fact that there are several other substantial claims against this company and owner.Initial Complaint

On 11/15/22, NUTROPIA charged me $1800 for 90 days of food delivery (email confirmation, and credit card charge, attached). The charge was under the name HEALTHY MEALS. I got 11 days of service (see circled dates on calendar screenshots). When 12th day delivery was due today (12/11/22):1. It didnt arrive.2. The delivery man **************) said he got a text from Nutropia saying no deliveries today.3. Nutropias tollfree ********************* ********************* #************ are now disconnected.4. ***** didnt respond to texts or email ******************************** Hes usually very responsive. See the many 1 star reviews on ****** maps about their shady charges.Customer response

Purchased 100 days of meals in mid August 2022 with some meals already banked up. Offered another 100 meals at a discounted price on November 16th, 2022. Received email from company today stating they are no longer providing services and would not be offering refunds. I have 142 days of meals. Phone disconnected. Website not working. I signed up for a one time meal delivery service for $234 back on 12/29/21. The company then, without my consent or signature, began billing me $640 weekly over the course of several months on my credit card totalling over 13K. I immediately contacted the owner, ***************************** who apologized and promised to refund all the charges (I have emails detailing this). However, no refunds were ever processed despite numerous emails back and forth that it would be coming. I filed a dispute with my credit card and was eventually was credited, after the charges sat on my card for months. I asked ********************** to remove my information from his system which he claims to have done. In June, I noticed 6 more charges on my card from * *** * ******* *****, the company Nutropia bills under for $3840. I immediately contacted ********************** and he again apologized and said he would fix it and that they no longer used this billing company. However he did not and I filed another dispute with my card. I have email apologies from him and promises to right things that were never done. My credit card company did not accept my most recent dispute in the first round, claiming to have spoken to someone at Nutropia, which ********************** denies. I've since refiled the claim but a decision has not been made. ********************** has not refunded the charges despite offers to do so. To reiterate, I only every authorized 1 charge by this company and was subsequently charged over $16K in this ongoing nightmare. I have tried to be reasonable to **********************, understanding that running a small business right now is tough but unfortunately it's clear to me that the honest intentions may on be on my side. Please help me settle this matter so that I can recoupt the $3840 I am still missing.Customer response

I was told that the refund was being issued (it has not and is not pending according to my credit card). The owner has promised several times in the last month to send me a check but each time has pushed back the date he will send it, citing a potential refund. Back in January, I was also told my credit card was credited for the original incorrect charges but it never was. This is actually the second set of charges from this company, the first had to be disputed with my credit card after promises of a refund. so there is a history of false promises here.

I contacted Nutropia as recommended by a friend for a meal delivery service. I spoke with the owner, ***************************** who told me he would charge me $500.00 per person as an introductory price for 8 weeks to try his service out. I signed up for myself and my daughter and mom for a total of 3 people for $1500.00 for 8 weeks. About a week later, I saw that he double billed my credit card. I called him right away and he promised it was a mistake and he would refund my card. When I received my credit card ****, not only did he not refund my card, he continued to charge my card $1500.00 PER DAY for a total of $19,500.00. The dates were charged on 3/3, 3/4, 3/5, 3/6, 3/7, 3/8, 3/9, 3/10, 3/11, 3/12, 3/13, 3/21, and 3/22. This man is using his business to front a ponzi scheme. These unauthorized charges were made to my elderly mothers credit card account and he still has not corrected the issue. Every time we contact him, he swears he's crediting us. He is fully aware of over billing his customers and has received numerous complaints and reviews from other people. I have documentation to support this including an email with his admission of guilt. I need my mothers card ***************************** to be refunded immediately and would appreciate an advise for legal action in this matter. We have reiussed all 13 credits for $1500 that were done in error. We did not know that there was another issue until yetserday and after speaking with ***************** we offered to send full wire or bank check but she did not want that and wanted credit issued to the credit card ending in **** under ***************************. We humbly apoogize for this and issed credits last night and they do have to cycle out and close properly which they will and then the processorsor send them off to the clients credit card company which will then be posted to the clients account in full. We have done what was asked and will follow up on this with the client in 5-7 days to make sure they do indeed have them. We are also trying to upload all 13 individual credit copies but the system will only allow us to upload 4 documents and we would like to send the otehrs as proof too. Not sure where to send those. Kindly advise as there are 9 other attahcements to send. These were also sent to the client earlier today but she did not want to hear it and i told her they are issued and will post but continued to not listen. In any event these are issued in full for the enitre amount incorrectly charged and once received should hopefully close this out.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:***************************** and his business are lying about the credits to my account. This is just a part of his scam, to delay the consequences of his actions. I called my mothers ******************* who said no such refund has been issued. Also, this was not a mistake made by ***************************** and Nutropia. This is a deliberate PONZI Scheme. There are many other people he has done this too, which I have proof of.

All credits were issued by us not by ***** per all proof sent. When we issued refunds after we found out they did not post the first time after speaking with ***********************, credits were issued in full per all veirifiable proof we sent. Once issued and closed credits are sent fro our processor to thei credit card /bank in this case being ***** and then ***** applies to the card but we iussed the refunds per request in full and whatever is said to the contrary by ****************** is just not true. This can all be fully verifed via those refnerecne numbers provided. As for any other complaints they have been resolved not that is any of her concern. We also switched billing procedures now to an invoice systme where we gnerate an invoice and send to the client so they enter their info and click to pay. There is no chancefor a billig issue andthe reare no renewals unless a client *******, click, enters their info and pays themselves. We do not process it is all on the client. This is none of her concern either but we did recently insttitue this to avoid any billing isues. But to address the conver of the refund which she admits has been received it was issued by us and sent to CHse not by *****. Thank you for your time and consideration. I dont want to get into any otehr details out of fear of retaliaoton which was already threatened to us by ******************. To confirm we did issue all credits and they all cleared our account by 5/20/2022 after we found out there was an issue. Credits / refunds subsequetly posted to the account of ****************** in question. NO other refunds or monies are owed to the client and have been returned in full.Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:I have multiple credit receipts going back as far as March which were bogus. I will upload the supposed credits sent by ************************* of Nutropia aka R & J Healthy meals. I am attaching the the actual fake credit sent to me on March 31, 2022. Please note: the phony credit was given March 25th.
********************** is a criminal. He bides his time until he has no choice and this is him wasting mine and yours again.
I am going to pursue this legally.
