On January 31st I brought my 1970 ******* down to **** ********* garage on **** * ****** Street to have my car painted for 3,000 dollars. Mr. ******* explained that the front windshield and the rear windshield would have to be removed in order for the vinyl top to be put on. Mr. ******* then stated that he would be charging me an additional 200.00 for taking the windows out and having them resealed. Mr. ******* also, stated that in order to have the new vinyl top put on the top of the roof would have to be grinded down. Which in addition would be another 200.00. In which I agreed. The total price for the job is now 34,000. On April 11,2023 I received a phone call that the car was ready. Once I arrived down to Mr.********* shop I realized that there is runs in the paint. The paint is already cracking in certain areas. There was scratches and dings on the passenger fender. The molding was never put on correct. There was glue all over the windows and on the car. The driver side window doesn’t roll down and the piece to control the mirrors was broken off. The back windshield was never sealed correctly so it was taking water in through the rear seal. Mr. ******* explained that he would rectify and replace any damage that has occurred. On April 14,2023 I brought the car back down to Mr.********* garage to have the issues resolved. While my car was in his care the windshield had been cracked in which he never notified me of the damage. My break lights were never hooked up correctly. On 5/4/23 I went back down to Mr.********* garage where he now takes no accountability for the damage that has occurred.

The Rear Window was removed - The Windshield was NOT removed. When the car left the garage the windshield was NOT wbroken or cracked.  I removed the Vinyl Top as a favor to him. He wanted to wait until after the car was painted. The glue damage was done by the vinyl top man.  There were 3 small runs in the Clear Coat paint which can easily be buffed out.  The crack is only one hair-line crack (1/2" long) in right Quarter Panel.  The car was a "repaint". It was originally white and had been painted blue. Also had a bad spot which has been filled with fiber glass filler.  The brake-light was reconnected incorrectly. A common mistake which is easily corrected.  There were four side moldings that said *******. He gave me old moldings which I put on with Plastic Molding Glue.  The Door Glass was never touched. Was not put UP OR DOWN.  The mirror knob (adjustment knob) was broken off.  The car (*******) was paid for when he picked it up. He mentioned no issues at that time. The Windshield was not cracked.  If you have any questions regarding my reply, please contact me at: ******** *****

Good morning and thank you for your time. I have pictures that show the damage. I paid **** two hundred dollars to have windows removed and resealed. In no way was it a favor. I paid Mr.******* before the job was finished. Thats why the car was brought back down to him three times. Mr.******* had given me a set date and it was another two weeks before I was called. The gentlemen that worked for Mr.******* during the time the car was down there is willing to testify on my behalf. Like I have Previously mentioned I have Pictures and the receipt. I have more photo's for proof.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  Regards, ****** *****
