  BBB sent correspondence to Southern Tier Family Nurse Practitioner Services on November 4, December 1, and December 13, 2022, requesting substantiation for advertised claims on their website, https://southerntierfnp.com/iv-vitamin-hydration/. 
  
  BBB requested any supporting evidence to support the claims. BBB’s Code of Advertising #34 Claimed Results which states:
  Claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy or results for a product or service should be based on recent and competent testing or other objective data.
   
  For medicinal and therapeutic claims, or claims to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any illness or disease, scientific, clinical evidence from human clinical trials is preferred to support the claims.
  
  BBB provided some of the claims that the website is making and advised that this may not be an exhaustive list and all websites, social media, and marketing materials should be checked to ensure claims that are not able to be substantiated with proper scientific documentation are removed or modified.
