My wife and I found a 2021 Lexus RX 450h certified used vehicle posted for an internet sale at Ray Catena Lexus of ************. The exterior/interior colors were what we were looking for along with the optional equipment. Our inquiries included email contacts with several people and we made an appointment with the salesman to inspect/purchase the car on Thursday May 23. We were ready to drive from MA to the dealership with our 2015 RX 450h on Thursday May 23 for a trade-in. We had a bank check made out to the dealer and extra cash to cover the balance. Our plan was to inspect the car, sign over the title to our old car, swap our MA plates, and drive home in our "new" car. The afternoon of the day before our appointment (Wednesday May 22) we received an email declaring the car was sold. We are shocked that a Lexus dealer would treat a customer like this. We went to a lot of work going to the bank, cleaning out washing, and vacuuming our old car in preparation for the sale. No one has offered any explanation or apology.

Dear ******************, We apologize if you were inconvenienced in any way as that was not our intent. We requested a commitment and deposit several times over an extended period of time both by phone and email and you would not provide either. We cannot hold a vehicle for an extended period of time without a commitment from the client. Again I apologize and you are certainly welcome to call me at the dealership for a more detailed explanation if you wish. We wish you the best in your journey to find your next vehicle. Respectfully, *********************** GM

Stay away from this dealership and especially avoid the sales manager (M. A. )M, I promised that I have to leave a review to make other potential buyers aware. M. A. is a horrible manager, rude and a lair. On October-13-2023 I spent 2-3 hours on the phone with sales associate P. B. to discuss the best possible deal for Lexus RX500H (VIN: *****************, Stock # *****). We agreed on $69,500 to be paid in full the very next day on Oct-14-2023. P. B. mentioned that he was with his manager M. A. when were negotiating the deal. P. B. made an appointment for me in the dealers book to get the car on Oct-14-2023 at 11:30 AM. We agreed that I would make the down payment for the new car on Oct-14-2023 before visiting Ray Catena Lexus of Larchmont. P. B. told me that he wouldnt be at the dealership on Oct-14-2023 and his manager, M. A. (who was with him on the phone when negotiating), will take care of the transaction ( $69,500.00 (negotiated price) + $175 (document fee) + Taxes). P. B. promised to text me his manager (M. A.) ****rmation for tomorrow to close the deal. After I had not received M.s **** as promised I decided to call the dealership to get Ms **** for tomorrow. Front desk told me that P. B. left for today and I can speak with M. A. directly to confirm the deal and my appointment for tomorrow. M. A. immediately tried to intimidate me with an aggressive tone demanding the deposit up front (almost threatening) suggesting that I should speak with yet another rep and there is no way I could get the car at the price I was promised by P. B. and his manager (who was M.?). I suggested M. to never call me again promising to leave a review warning other potential customers and hang up the phone. It did not help, for some reason M. kept calling me back trying to intimidate me even more. I had to block his phone number and dealership main phone number to avoid harassing. Stay away from this dealership.

Hello and thank you for your communication. We are sorry that you feel the way you do. Your experience with our dealership is very important to us. There seems to be many miscommunications here and it- appears as if you have had some bad experiences with other dealerships. I will be happy to listen to your concern thoroughly and support you in any way possible. You are important to us and I do hope you allow me to understand and rectify this situation. Our sincere apologies, ***********************...General Manager...-

A little over 1 year ago I went to Ray Catena of Larchmont to lease a RX350. I was so excited to lease the vehicle and thought my sales rep was great. I had a great experience all the way until I got home with my vehicle, which was a birthday gift of "Luxury" to myself. Upon getting home I noticed some scratched on the front driver side bumper (it is important to say this was a certified used vehicle with no documented reports of damage or information given by the sales person regarding damage). I reached out to the dealership and the sales person stated "oh that's just wear and tear". I had to ask for paint, as the scratched were down to the frame of the car so that I can address the damage. This should have been the first sign of untrustworthiness for me. Recently, May 17th, of this year I went to the dealer for an oil change. I was told by my service representative that my inspection was due as well, so I agreed to have that service done as well. After several hours I picked up my car and paid 37.00$ for my inspection. On July 7th, I received a ticket for my inspection. I went to the dealership to have them put the new sticker on simply thinking they forgot to. Well low and behold yesterday while at the dealership because of a clogged drain I asked for a copy of the receipt. The date read July 7th on it. The cashier tried to tell me that the team did a 2nd inspection, well this didn't seem right. After speaking with the service *******, my rep, and asst ******* I learned that my car was NEVER inspected. I reminded them that paid on May 17th, for a service that they were now letting me know was never done. So here is FRAUD issue number 1. 2ND issue was they were trying to charge me $8,799.50 + tax for the clog situation in my car. I took it to my mechanic who was able to address it for $150.00, even after I told him the almost $10,000 I was being quoted. DO NOT TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP!!! FRAUDE FRAUD FRAUD!!! I don't feel SAFE in my car now, sad.
