    About 5 years ago I purchased a pair of ********* and Arpels earrings from this business. The owner indicated that she authenticated them right at the Van ***** store just a few blocks away. A couple of weeks ago I attempted to resell them at FASHIONPHILE and was notified that they were fakes. I was charged a penalty and banned from the site. I understand that the business is closed but believe the owner lives locally. There is no way to contact her. My hope is that you will reach out to her and ask her to refund my money which was close to $2000.

    I was unaware of the inauthenticity of the item until now. I would like the business to refer to the transaction and refund the money. I would be happy to send back the earrings.   

    *****, you seemed like a nice person and I hope you will do the right thing  I expect you remember me and my husband and our little dog who would stop in while visiting from ******  You have my address from the holiday postcard I received every year

    Upon inspection of your ************** & Arpels 18K Yellow Gold Black Onyx Sweet Alhambra Earrings we determined that there were some inconsistencies with your item. 

    Please see notes below from our Authentication Specialist:

    Following a detailed inspection procedure, we have concluded that your item is inauthentic. Thank you for your understanding. 

    Due to the above I had to pay a fine and was blocked from the site   I was able to restore my good name because I have a history of honesty   I hope you will be honest with me as well

    I am a nice person and I know you are as well.  This is an unfortunate situation.  Every single piece of Van ***** & Arpels

    jewelry I bought was taken to the Van ***** & Arpels store on ************ for inspection and verbal authentication.  

    Again, I cannot be responsible for items that have been out of my possession for five years.  In addition, the store and the business have closed.

    Hi *****.  Im sorry that whomever gave you the verbal authentication misinformed you but that doesnt change that fact that I was victimized even unknowingly on your part  I got in big trouble attempting to resell this earrings  The only upstanding thing to do is take the ray back and refund me  Perhaps you will then have recourse with your contact at Van ******  Regardless of this situation I wish you well in your retirement
