Dr. Ben ****, Outstanding Emergency Medicine Doctor. With Emergency visit to new Langone Brookhaven Hospital My fiancee was in horrific back pain. The team of medical providers on Nov. 5th stemmed from prior visit 31st of October. seen for and taken care of providing great pain medicine. Started with .04 ********, Percocet 10 mg, ******* every eight hours. Checking response to medications starting low dose. Not prescribing narcotics for home. Only in house narcotic distribution. Overall background check in history working with Dr. Lock. Inclusive communication and preparation of emergency next day surgery. Off setting processes,,, incase... most upstanding preparedness and patient care caution and safety. X-ray tech in purple same treatment. a look in your eyes building trust and confidence in there performance and person. They were fast in transitioning of testing and medication distribution. Highly educated people...Dr. **** was most observed changing gloves,,using hand sanitizer. wearing a mask. Inclusive respect in working with nursing... Jenny Rn.... Ordered shot for blood clots MRCA & Covid ........Line up of heroic pain management -- safety precautions in terms of ppe. On shift cleaning guy was cleaning bathrooms, another mopping floors using slip fall preventions. Most focused on person identification constantly scanning band and asking names. Checking mental state and understanding of formalities. Very focused on having the patient follow on a systematic understanding of what was happening, going to happen, how things were going. Fast reporting results.. Newly innovative strategies. A great team array of diversity in ethnics all levels interactive. positive atmosphere. Hands down best patient care and response action. ************** misdiagnosed me and the billing **** has spent 2 years mishandling my billing with no resolution. I just got ANOTHER $1000 bill because it says I did not have coverage for DOS in Feb 2022 when I did.Review from Ifeoma E

I had a horrible interaction with an endocrinologist ********************************** who completely disregarded my expressed medical needs. I went to the doctor to address concerns regarding my lack of menstruation and she immediately started prescribing me weight management medication which was never requested. After I confronted her about this she became very defensive and threatened to release me as a client. This made it challenging for me to find a suitable doctor that I was comfortable with to continue my medical management for thyroid medication. She also put some disparaging information in my medical report that omitted the facts of this situation eliminating the main reason why I was instructed to meet with her in the first place.

Cannot get my meds that I have been taking for 38 years since *** LANGONE took over the South Shore Neurology practice. The script was prescribed incorrectly and the pharmacy will not dispense as written. 6 phone calls to *** LANGONE and Ive gotten nowhere. No one calls you back or contacts the pharmacy to amend their error. Now I am running out of meds and dont know what to do.*** LANGONE abandoned my healthcare needs.Review from Faisal T

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER the doctor was so busy going on vacations that she couldnt be bothered with how her schedule affects her patients. I was forced to go to work in a diaper because she didnt want to give me a simple work from home letter!! The staff treated me like dirt and the security guard profiled me. The worst experience ever I will never return and if you want to be treated with some dignity you wont go either.Review from David C

I sent out the check a month ago and got the same billing next month. I called the billing department to confirm if I need to re-send the check. They transfer me over to each other and one lady was acting like there is some kind of static sound on phone calls and telling me she could not hear me. I was on the phone explaining my situation twice to two different representatives for nothing... please don't call the billing department they are not there to help. I rather talk to A.I. answering machine!!!NYU Langone Health Response

If you are asked by an *** Langone doctor to take an AT HOME SLEEP STUDY be sure to ask how much you are required to pay before the test. I did not.On 01/18/2023, I took the 1 night AT HOME SLEEP STUDY test. I sent the equipment back the next day.I was shocked to see LANGONE billed my insurance BCBS for $21,937.81. I was further surprised to find BCBS paid $20,424.05. LANGONE now is billing me $1,513.76.I suspected LANGONE coded this as an in-hospital procedure which it was not. L based this on not just the outrageous price but LANGONEs bill showing an Admit date of 1/18/23, as well as ******** showing while they did not pay the $1,513,76, my deductible was now met. ******** should never have been billed since I only have ******** Part A for hospitalization. I never went to the hospital. I tried numerous times to get this fixed via LANGONEs portal and phone. I called BCBS and explained that I thought this had been mis-coded. Hospital. BCBS call LANGONE to verify. I believe LANGONE is now trying to justify this ridiculous cost. They said 1 night use of the machine was $8,000. They also said Other DX Svs was $7,784.64.From GoodRx:According to one source, the national average for a sleep study is $3,075. This is for a procedure at a hospital or sleep center.New Choice Health also keeps track of data on sleep studies. Their analysis shows that the national average is $2,925, and the range is from $1,250 to $6,700 From sleepfoundation.org:Feb 16, 2023 How Much Do Home Sleep Studies Cost? The cost of most home sleep apnea testing in ******** falls between $150 to $500 LANGONE IS CHARGING MORE THAN TWICE THE NATIONAL MAXIMUM FOR IN-HOSPITAL for a 1-night HOME STUDY as shown by New Choice Health above. While I do believe this was a coding error which LANGONE refuses to acknowledge, I cannot help but think this might be INSURANCE FRAUD.Does anyone know a good pulmonologist from *********?I continue to lose sleep over this.NYU Langone Health Response

CENSORSHIP Lovely hospital and people/staff.... But I am very unhappy about the TV… yes the TV… 75 stations every single station works perfectly except for one and that's ***. I had it on earlier today now the president spoke tonight and all other 74 channels work perfectly except *** has been shut off…. I am really really grossed out by this there is censorship going on.Review from James R

I had three separate payments with *** dating back to an ER visit October, 2021. I set up recurring payments of $200 beginning in March of 2022 toward my total of $2,000. I began receiving emails and letters that stated payment was past due because I was unaware that the $2,000 total was broken down into four totals of $500. Therefore, I needed to set up automatic payments four separate times. I didn't understand any of this and had to message *** via the ******* account to request a phone call. From there I set up a new payment plan for the next $500 on September 15th 2022. To summarize, there was a point of *** not receiving payments after June 2022. I spoke with them and scheduled another payment beginning in September for another $200. At no point when I spoke with them did they mention collection agencies and I didn't receive any notification stating any risk when I did set up the next payment on the ******* webpage. I just received a letter from ***************** for $1,000 that was processed on September 11th. I'm making payments and being reported to collection agencies and the agency rep was actually more respectful and informative than the *** account page or any of their representatives ever were.NYU Langone Health Response
