Hi. On 12/27/23 I ordered flatware from scope kitchen. I didnt receive it so I cancelled the order and called my bank to reverse the charge. All of a sudden, my order shows up, the bank reverses to credit and now Scope Kitchen wont answer calls or emails to return the product. It feels intentional. They sent one email that had a nasty tone. I want to return the product and they wont help me. I also need a refund to my credit card and have called the bank again.Initial Complaint

I ordered two sets of flatware for $233.98. They claim it's stainless steel and the company has HUNDREDS of amazing reviews and not one single negative review. They sent me complete and utter junk. There was no packaging at all - just loose flatware all bent and it's absolutely not stainless steel. I've purchased plastic flatware that is heavier and better quality than what I was given. It's not as advertised in the slightest. I also think their reviews are 100% fake. All the complaints on BBB are exactly like mine. The company refuses to let me send back the items for a full refund. They will not answer their phone or email me back. I called, left voice mails and several emails with no response.Customer response

I ordered a flatware set. This company had thousands of wonderful reviews which I think were paid for. There is no way this flatware got positive reviews. The items for flimsy and bent. 15 day return policy and a restocking fee AND pay for shipping. !!! I could have gotten better at the dollar tree.Initial Complaint

Upon receiving the products, we found bent items, forks, that were not as described. We contacted the seller with photos of the defective items requesting a return. The seller stated that they were in a process of moving their warehouse and offered a 50% refund to keep the products. We refused to accept the offer. We contacted the seller a few times requesting the return address to send everything back and did not get a response. We then proceeded with opening a case with our bank to reverse the charge. The seller wrote to our bank that we did not want to return the products stating that we refused to return the items. They also falsified emails coming from us saying that we did not want to return the products. They should be prosecuted for making up fake email responses. When we called them after the fact, they hung up and not want to deal or address the issue. They ignored all further communications which is not the way to conduct a business. Hello,
The customer did not like our product and asked for a refund.
We informed the customer that they can return our product but should wait a few days as we were finalizing our new warehouse.
The customer did not want to wait and instead proceeded with a chargeback against our company.
The chargeback case is decided by someone else and not by us.
Customer already has received our products, so we do not find anything unfair in this.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:[We ordered the products on 4/18/22. The items were delivered on Tuesday, April 26 at 11:02 A.M. Upon receiving the items, we inspected the products and reported the issues of bent forks to the business on 4/27/22.Also, we attached photos of the defective items for the business to review.
On 4/27/22, we emailed the business stating:
I would to know if we can return this order. The quality is very cheap and theyre made in *****. The forks are bent when they are still brand new. See photo.
The quality is very poor. We are not happy with this purchase.
Your website states that its made in Europe but the box says its made in *****. We were also charged a foreign transaction fee for this order.On 4/30/22, Scope Kitchen replied with the following message:

On 5/2/22, we responded back to Scope Kitchen requesting the return address:
You sent us defective items with the forks bent and all the edges of the utensils are very sharp and not well polished. We do not want to serve our guest with dangerous flatware. We want to proceed with the return.On 5/7/22, Scope Kitchen replied back to us stating:

On 5/7/22, we replied back to the message stating:
All the forks are bent and uneven. The edges of the flatware are sharp, almost cut us. Please provide the return address as soon as you can. We will wait.
After a few hours, we sent another email with additional photos of the items stating:
You need to look at shape of each of these forks. How can you say that they are not defective? Do you not see the spacing between the teeth and how bent they are? all these forks are shaped differently from each other.The edges are so sharp that we will risk cutting our guests lips and cause injury. It is so obvious
At this point, we realize that Scope Kitchen does not want their products to be returned. Considering the forks need to be replaced from purchasing new sets, we wrote to Scope Kitchen:
We will consider taking 70% refund since we will have to toss out the defective items.
Please let us know if you would refund 70% of the total price.
Here is the final photo of 5 forks, only the middle one is in normal usable condition. The other four are bent, crooked, defective, and poorly made.
The presentation is so horrible. The quality is below standard to be serving the guests.From the last message on 5/7/22, we had not heard from Scope Kitchen at all for two weeks. We proceeded with initiating a chargeback with our **** of America.
On 5/20/22, Scope Kitchen finally reached out to us and stated:

Until this point, the vendor did not provide a return address in their request. They requested the items to be sent back but never provided an address for the return. Does this make any sense?
On 5/21/22 we wrote to Scope Kitchen:
You have been unresponsive when we tried to reach you asking to return the products and you gave us the runaround stating that you were moving. You didnt respond when we emailed you three weeks ago. If you send a prepaid shipping label, we will be happy to ship everything back.
From 5/21/22, we then waited for a response hoping to get a return address. The vendor still has not provided a return label or an address as of 6/27/22, one month later.
On 6/27/22, despite the futile efforts, we decided to reach out to Scope Kitchen:
Do you have a return address?
We want to return the product but unable to get a response from you. I am going to report to you law enforcement so they can investigation frauds committed
by your business. You will be hearing from the federal governments soon.
Finally, on 6/30/22, **** of America sent us a message showing what the vendor wrote to them during the process and decided to close the case in Scope Kitchens favor. **** of America reversed the chargeback and allowed Scope Kitchen to keep the funds. The reason for the final resolution to this case was because Scope Kitchen wrote to the bank showing the email communication from us to them on 5/22/22 and 5/25/22 which were intently fraudulent and falsified by Scope Kitchen. Scope Kitchen wrote to **** of America stating:
The customer must return the product in order to receive the refund. We asked him to return our product several times but the customer refused to return it. Please see the email exchanges between us and the customer
********************** falsified and wrote fake emails from us stating that we refused to return the products. We did not email them on 5/22/22 and 5/25/22. The last email from us requesting a return address was on 5/21/22. At this point, we were appalled by the unethical practice by Scope Kitchen for making up fake email responses from the customers as evidence to our bank.
On the same day 6/30/22, we wrote to the Scope Kitchen stating:
We want to return the product but unable to get a response from you. I am going to report to you law enforcement so they can investigation frauds committed
by your business. You will be hearing from the federal governments soon.
On the same day 6/30/22, Scope Kitchen responded back knowingly that theyve won the case with **** of ************** are not able to understand this.

We replied back immediately on 6/30/22:
The bank showed us the email that you made up and sent to them. I have been trying to return the products and you refused to provide a return address.
We want to return the defective items as soon as possible or you will hear from law enforcement agencies and the FEDs for writing fake emails.
Im in the process of reporting this scam now unless you provide a return address.
After a few hours on 6/30/22, we finally wrote another message:
The bank has reversed the charge and charged me again for the defective items. They showed me the responses that you sent to them which were fake and not true. I was charged again for the same amount. If you dont want me to return the items, then refund the 50% you offered initially so we can close this case.From 6/20/22 to today 7/29/22, the vendor has not supplied a return address to us or respond to our last inquiry.
If you were in our shoes, how long should it take a business to reply back to the customer with a return address? Even after we reported to the bank, they still refused to provide a return address. The vendor clearly said that they were in the processing of moving their warehouse. Did they really move? We did not receive any communication from the vendor from 5/7/22 to 5/20/22 which were ten business days which warranted our decision to initiate a chargeback against this company. They have taken our money and we still have the defective forks. We still havent received any return address.The main complaint of this case is that companies or businesses should be investigated when they make up or write fake email responses from customers in order to win their dispute. Is this even legal? They should be prosecuted. I attached all the truthful email thread from us and the business to show you and the public how scandalous this company is to have the audacity to write fake emails to our bank claiming that they came from us and that we refused to return the products when we reached out 5-6 times requesting an address for the return.How can we return anything without a return address? I would like this information to publicize to warn others so they wont be scammed like we did. Has anyone ever been able to return their products to this company? Scope Kitchen has committed crime by falsifying messages. Are you able to help us obtain a return address from them?]
