I would like to watch some History Channel shows. However, many of them use the cheap editing trick of editing in white flashes in between scenes. I stop watching, remove from my watchlist, and block seeing the shows that use this. I did use the "Contact' on the History Channel website to write this. It is a long established fact that only stupid people think I'm stupid. And wow, did I ever get a stupid agent who replied. He said to check my player/viewer. I can distinctly see the white flashes. I can pause a video and see the screen whiteout. It is often accompanied by a multi/high frequency sound effect of a "whoosh" type sound. This is over thirty years -- this is on CRT televisions, LED televisions, computers using ANY video streaming service. The insulting stupidity of the agent's reply inspired me to file a more formal complaint. It is such a cheap trick. It is as if the producer/editor/ History Channel/other is trying to induce epilepsy in some people, and a forced blinking and startle reaction in the rest. I refuse to watch something with that cheap a trick. Even when I would like to watch it, I will block it from my "suggestions" feed. It is a substitute for competent editing. It would be of value to substitute competent editing for a whiteout screen flash and a sound effect.

A&E owns the history channel. 4 years ago I subscribed to the channel while my kids lived at home. For the last two years I have tried to cancel my subscription that automatically takes out money every month. A&E has made it impossible to cancel this subscription. They are stealing money from me every month, they dont return emails, and all I want is the subscription payment to STOP.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved. The charges were coming from Amazon Prime for the History Vault and Paramount plus, not A&E directly.

    Sincerely,
