    I have a year long paid subscription from Britbox. I was happy with it until I started getting buffering errors which wouldn't go away despite checking my internet speed. I worked around it by starting a trial Britbox subscription on Amazon. It worked fine there.After contacting Britbox support by email (no phone number is available that I know of), I waited 2 days before receiving a reply saying that they're aware of the issue and it would be fixed with the next update. No estimate on its release date was given.It has now been 10 days since I first contacted support with no update released yet.I asked Britbox to refund me the remaining 6 months of the subscription so i could just start using it with Amazon video. They refused, offering me $5.00 since I could just use another device.So far there's no resolution and I'm out at least $8.99 for the Amazon Britbox subscription.

    I just received a gift subscription - so it has been prepaid - but yet it won't let me redeem it unless I provide them with my own crecit card information. Still looking for a way around providing that since I see all the complaints about billing below.

    Their Roku app has not worked since March 2023, other than for a few weeks in August. They keep giving the same non-answer over and over -- that it will be fixed "soon". Also the AirPlay feature does not have close captions. They also say that this has been sent to some support ********* of the customer "support" replies via email are nearly unintelligible, with atrocious grammar and strange wording.They can't seem to fix this one problem, but can clearly spend a ton of cash on social media ads and promotional emails.

    SHADY BILLING PRACTICES: I realized that BritBox has been charging me for both a monthly membership AND an annual membership, so I contacted customer service. This issue not only constitutes a breach of trust but also implies questionable practices on behalf of the company. I enjoyed the product and enjoyed watching the shows. However, I can't go on or recommend them to others due to a lack of trust. **************** told me to cancel the extra subscription and will not agree to a refund. They've kept extra money. Regrettably, my experience with customer service did not yield the desired outcome. The company is keeping extra revenue and it is shady and inappropriate. The lack of accountability from the company is deeply concerning, as this not only affects me financially but also raises doubts about the transparency and integrity of your billing practices. I firmly believe that BritBox should take full responsibility for this error, promptly investigate how many other customers have been subjected to similar situations, and initiate appropriate measures to prevent any recurrence.BritBox is telling me to cancel the extra subscription. I know that-of course. What I want is my extra money, that the company retained. I want a refund for the excess that I paid. Reimburse me for excess monies paid. The time and effort that this is taking to resolve is disappointing, which is why I've gone to the Better Business Bureau.

    Cancelled membership less than a week on Britbox because I only wanted it for one month - March 2023 and I went through the cancellation process for an end date of April 25th yet they charged me again on April 25th for another month. I contacted them and they stated no refunds, but told me I have an extra month. When I went to sign in, the software requested I pay again. It is unethical and unprofessional business practices.

    I was given a year's subscription by my son as a Christmas gift (2021) to BritBox. All was great until June this year (2022) when they suddenly charged my credit card with over $70 and cut off access to BritBox. I complained and they finally (after many e-mails) restored what looked like the access page on line. However, they had an incorrect e-mail address (one which I did not even recognize) and this was impossible to change to the correct one. After much back and forth, they came up with an access code and new password, which had my correct ID and e-mail. However, now the access page has only 2 ways to get back on BritBox. One for a monthly charge and one for an annual subscription. This was a Christmas gift for an annual subscription and I only received six months of it. I only wanted to finish out the annual subscription and then drop it because it's too pricy for me. Knowing that, BritBox decided not to allow me to finish out the year's subscription. Reading other complaints, I see this is a very terribly managed company.

    The customer's gift code was redeemed in June 2021 and expired in June 2022 at which time her subscription was renewed and she was billed. At the customer's request, her subscription was cancelled and she was refunded all of her renewal fee. We are sorry the customer was not satisfied with her experience with BritBox.

    Lately every month I'm having problems with my subscription RIGHT after the **** is paid. I can watch on my devices but not on tv through Roku. My account information even shows everything is okay, yet they don't seem to understand. Last month I fixed it myself with no help from them and was billed twice (I just ate the cost to get it running). The customer support is pretty useless. I would like to fix the problem or refund my payment which was less than 24 hours ago. I can't understand why it happens every time I pay the ****.

    Add me to the list of people who have been fraudulently billed after canceling a subscription. I canceled my subscription in 2017 and recently discovered that Britbox started charging my card a monthly subscription fee again in 2021 and 2022. When I contacted their customer service reps, they admitted I had not had an account since 2017, but then started trying to sow confusion about whether someone else had an account that I was somehow on the hook for. They have refused to refund any of this money.

    Cancelled my subscription in Dec 2021. I have proof with ** that BritBox is using a credit card I did not authorize with BritBox, don't know how they got it. I have reported their billing as fraudulent since Jan 2022. No answer when I call their number.
