            Business response

            05/17/2024

Dear Better Business Bureau, We are writing in response to a complaint submitted by a recent guest regarding their stay at our motel. We take all customer feedback seriously and are committed to addressing any concerns raised to ensure the highest level of service and satisfaction for our guests. The guest's complaint included the following issues, which we would like to address in detail: Room Amenities: The guest claimed that their room lacked toilet paper and towels, and that the smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector did not have batteries. We would like to clarify that every room in our motel is equipped with towels, toilet paper, and all necessary amenities at the time of check-in. We ensure that all safety devices, including smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors, are functional and have working batteries. Furthermore, there were no requests made by this guest for additional towels or other amenities during their stay. Guest Stay and Re-check-in: The guest was referred to us by the Department of Social Services (DSS) which guranteed payment for the 7-night stay. After staying for a few nights, the guest checked out and then rechecked in after a night or two. During the whole stay, the guest did not make any complaints in order resolve the spoken matters.  Staff Names: The guest mentioned individuals named Samual and Dino in their complaint. We would like to confirm that there are no employees by those names working at our motel. It appears there may have been a misunderstanding regarding the staff members they interacted with. Mrs. L****: The guest also mentioned a person named Mrs. L**** who allegedly overcharged them and took 100% of their income from SSI. We do not have any staff member by the name of Mrs. L**** at our motel. It is likely that this individual is associated with DSS or is handling the guest's SSI matters. Any issues related to overcharging or income deductions should be directed to the relevant authorities or organizations responsible for these matters. We strive to provide a comfortable and satisfactory experience for all our guests and regret any inconvenience this guest may have experienced. We appreciate your attention to this matter and are available to provide any additional information or clarification as needed. Sincerely, Sam General Manager
