I bought a truck from them, on day 1 I texted the car rep and let him know I had some issues. He told me to text the car repair number I did that. They got me in to check out my truck. The gave it a car wash and tire shine and said nothing was wrong with it. I tried getting in to my mechanic and by the time I did he told me it needed transmission service and motor mounts. Brought it back to them and let them know what was found. Now they are saying it does have a motor mount issue which they will not fix under the 30 days was 1000 mile because I said something after 30 days which is not true. I can’t drive the truck because the motor mount and transmission work needs to be done. I have to pay out of pocket when these things was wrong upon me getting the truck. I’m picking the truck up today and I want to be reimbursed for what I have to pay to get these things done even though they knew these things was wrong before they let me buy this truck.Initial Complaint

I purchased a 2009 ******* from cny drives on 6/25/24. We were lied to by an employee that no longer works there. We have invoices of things that are wrong with it but won't fix it even though it is still under the limited warranty. Cruise control doesnt work, key fab doesn't, work. Even have it documented. Their mechanic was rude told me it would cost me $100 hr to get it fixed. Passenger window works sometimes and is slow. Mechanic didn't look at motor just pushed button. Said it was slow because it's old. Engine light goes on and off with fuel guage dropping. Won't look into it bec. no diagnostic code to go by. The GM Tom stated he was new and getting thrown into the middle. We have made numerous phone calls and continue to get the run around.Initial Complaint

We requested our check that was sent to him because we were on week 3 of waiting for our vehicle to be “ready”. He refused to give us our check back before us receiving our vehicle and then 3 weeks later the vehicle was ready for pick up. We travelled to their Drum, NY location, drove the vehicle and the check engine light came on. Luke checked it with his machine and it came up as a faulty catalytic converter. He cleared the light and told us if it came back on, on our way home then he would have us come up that weekend, and replace the part on his expense. The light came on, we called him, no answer. We got in touch with someone else from his dealership and they said that we would have to wait at least 2 months before they could get us in. We live 4 hours away and this was a major inconvenience. We repeatedly called them asking for our money back and that we would bring the car back. No replies. We have not been able to even get the registration or car inspected. Within a few months we found a major gas leak that no way should/could have been missed during their “72” point inspection. Driving our children and newborn around with a major gas leak without being able to legalize the vehicle. We have tried numerous attempts to contact CNY Drives and one point a woman promised to call us back, and nothing still. Now we can’t even drive the vehicle that we are still paying on while it sits in a shop with $4800.00 in repairs that we can’t pay. Also, the mechanic had found that this car was in a major accident and they STAPLED a flimsy bumper to the bottom. I literally cannot believe a word they say to anybody. I’m most angry that they have not corrected their errors and lie about their safety checks they do on vehicles. Driving our children around in a vehicle with a gas leak without our knowledge (they would have seen it during their inspection) makes me infuriated.Initial Complaint

Placed a down payment of $500 (cash, have a receipt) for a vehicle we were buying to secure it. Afterwards, reviewed financing options and what the total down payment we would need to get the monthly payment to a number we were comfortable with. After agreeing on down payment amount of $5,500 - we decided to move forward with buying the truck. I went to my bank to obtain the cashier's check & the amount was written for the TOTAL of $5,500. NOT the $5,000 it should have been as we paid $500 in cash already. I wasn't thinking at the time of the money we already put down, I just had it in my head that the amount we were putting down was $5,500. When I arrived at CNY drives I was assured it would not be an issue, that I did not need to obtain a new check - and they would just refund me the $500 that I gave them already. This did not happen after the purchase as they then changed their story to, they needed to wait for the check to clear, then they would refund me. It has been almost 3 weeks. Any time I contact that sales person he just states he "let them know" and when the refund check is ready someone will call me. I have reached out several times via text, and my fiancé a couple times by phone call. I have sent an email to the GM and Owner on 7/10/24 as well, with no response. They claimed at first they needed to wait for the cashier check to clear, and they would refund the $500 owed to me that I overpaid. Bank made it very clear that a cashier check only takes 24 hours to be available in their account. Able to provide documents, just don't have them on my person at the moment. Seeking assistance in obtaining my refund for the amount overpaid.Initial Complaint

I traded in my old vehicle and got my wife a new van. February 7th 2024 and paid 1500 down payment. I was reassured multiple times they would pay off the loan to the old van that had less that 700$ left to pay off from capital one auto finance. The van has not been paid off and it is destroying my credit. Today is Thursday may 30th. We got a new loan on the new van for about $17,000.00 They sold me the van not being road worthy and kept it for over 10 days to replace rotors and brake pads, I had to stop in multiple times to get no answers. No one would call me and tell me anything about the van. I showed up one day and it was finally done so I could bring it home after waiting 10 days for it. They need to pay off the old van loan at bare minimum, and stop hurting my credit… for the damages to my credit i would like my down payment refunded. And no one should have to wait that long. They reassured me they had a set amount of days to pay off the old loan.Initial Complaint

I was sold a vehicle that had multiple problems, the extended warranty did not cover any of it. When i reached out to the company I was told by the owner he does not have a crystal ball to see what will happen to his vehicles. He has had a 50/50 chance with problems with vehicles he sells. He can't help he doesn't have mechanics that can't fix all these problems.Initial Complaint

CNY DRIVES INC. listed a *** ****** **** for sale at $16,995 I went to view the vehicle on Friday 1st of March 2024 viewed the vehicle under the impression It is now the 11th of March and I received a phone call today stating that the truck has mechanical and rust issues, they are stating that the truck has rust on the frame body of the truck. They are refusing to return my deposit or lower the price of the vehicle. They are not properly advertising their product because online the vehicle looks good and ready to go, only after contracts were signed I was told that I would not be driving the vehicle home due to 60 point inspection which I was told could take up to 72 hours not 11 days and they fail to compensate me for my time, we were under the impression that the vehicle was ready for sale travelled 55 miles to purchase a vehicle. We should be compensated due to the fact that this business was aware of our timely situation and could have told us to go somewhere else, since they were not able to provide the services that we needed. My children attend three different schools which are not in their zone so the burden falls on me and pick up and dropp off due to the delay I've had to pay for **** every day since. If I put a deposit and later changed my mind then I am to blame, but clearly the blame falls on NYC DRIVES.Initial Complaint

So my transmission started acting up so I took it to ****** because when I first contacted cny drives they said they couldn't help so ****** had a warranty on the transmission so I paid to have a dynastic done on it and they said the transmission was bad but could not cover the warranty because I had to pay for a fluid test which ****** said it was the wrong fluid so the warranty wouldn't cover it.So then I was going to trade it in at ****** so they looked at the car and said it was worth scrap and got the car facts which showed it was in 3 accidents. So then I called **** **** ********* and they said I did have a warranty so I asked them to send me the form because cny drives never gave me the forms so when I got the form I called car protection plus and they said there was no warranty. I paid for the warranty and cny drives never sent it in.So I called cny drives again and told them about the warranty. I had ******* ***** call because I was upset. So Angela at cny drives said calm down we will find a transmission and have it put in at ****** ****** ****** so I was thinking this is a scam because why would they want to fix it without looking at my car. So as of today March 8 2024 my car is still at ****** parking lot.i am also waiting to hear what my financial company is going to do also to help
