Company lists an advertised price for a vehicle which includes 5500 in incentives someone must qualify which was not disclosed. Advertised price was 24490 then there is a $500 finance incentive and $1000 trade in incentive. Called and spoke to salesman Rick who said that price might include a IRS incentive but he wasn’t sure and would have to check. Responded and said that it includes the irs incentive in the price which is for a $4000 credit for cars priced under $25000 and that they found a loop hole to do it that way. Therefore the price of the car is actually 28490 which is over the irs guidelines and illegal to find a “loophole” for it.

Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The IRS clearly states that the price must be $25,000 or less and would include dealer fees not required required by law. The price of $28490 would exceed that price threshold as seen on the IRS site. Additionally, the sales person states “ways around the $25,000 cut off.” Additionally, the site clearly shows “Market based price $24,490” and to suggest that it is states in the description “includes rebates” is not sufficient because it is not listed anywhere in the price breakdown, not everyone qualifies for that rebate, and the vehicle does not fall within the IRS guidelines anyways if it is priced higher than that. In 10/2023 my Dodge Durango was serviced at that location. Noise (Metal on Metal sound) coming from the front end of vehicle and got louder when I pressed the brakes to stop. The total cost was over $1,198 Dollars for Four new tires that were mounted and balanced. The total cost was over $1,198 Dollars for Four new tires that were mounted and balanced. Included was $21 dollars cost for New York State Inspection too. Note Dodge mechanic in October 2023, did not scrape off old, expired yellow inspection sticker. I had a recent oil change at ******** and they informed me that my yellow inspection sticker had expired, and I am not in compliance with New York. I could have been stopped by local law enforcement and given a ticket. I was unaware about the inspection. I paid and assumed they (dodge) made the correction. Fast Forward to April 30, 2024. I went into Dodge and dealt with employee Mike. Informed him a few days earlier via phone about the expired inspection sticker. Mike had me believe that all they needed to do was swap out the inspection sticker, but they took my car in the back mechanic area and performed a new inspection. Mike came to me (45 minutes later) in the waiting room. He had an old rotor or brake pad from my "car". Mike told me he could pass NOT my car for inspection because I need Front end Brakes and Rotor kits. He also lied on the receipt that said I requested this work to be done. BIG LIE! All I wanted was the correct NY state inspection sticker that I already paid for. I had no intention of paying for additional work. Also know that Mike said their mechanic didn't even do the inspection in October 2023, but I paid. Check the Receipt submitted. Note I still have a GPS System that never worked when I purchased in December 2020. I shouldn't have to pay for their laziness. If I had known about front end issues I would have paid. Respectfully Submitted, ***** ******

When the customer came in October  - we did 4 tires. We were supposed to do an inspection and the tech forgot, so we did it on 4/40/24 and did not charge the customer. Upon reinspection the car, we found the front brake rotors were the wrong size (too small) causing the brake pad to not ride on the rotor surface correctly - wearing out the front bake pads to the point of failing NYS inspection. We have the parts saved and would be glad to show the customer the reason they failed and why it was unsafe. We did do the last brake job - we are unsure where they were done incorrectly.

In Oct 2023 charged me for Mt and balance 4 ******* tires New York State Inspection. Paid for an inspection they did not do. In Jan 2024 I went into dodge complaining about a loud metal scrapping sound when I drove at a low speed and braked. They should have checked all my brake pads because i didn't know where the metal sound was coming from.Dodge replaced the serpentine belt and rear pad kit and rotar brake. Two items were causing the same metal noise problem?I didn't see it until today on my receipt. I would learn 2 weeks ago I went to ******* ********* for an oil change. I learned from their tech that my inspection sticker has expired.Phoned Dodge and spoke to Ken N. He made an appointment with me to drive to Dodge after work. He would correct the error by replacing the old inspection sticker with an updated onw because I had already paid. 10 minutes tops, he said. When I arrived Ken N. took my keys and drove my car into the service area, WITHPOUT MY PERMISSION. I was told to wait in customer lounge. About 45 minutes later Ken approached me in the customer lounge, carrying a brake part,  supposably from my car.He questioned me Infront of other customers in the lounge and that pissed me off. Accused me of doing it. All work, besides several oil changes were done by a dodge dealership. They are cheating me with parts and services I did not need. Dodge also did work on one of my headlights. That cost me 700 dollars.Look at the receipts.Note I submitted this type review online to BBB but cannot retrieve it. Why?I had to retype this thing.Respectfully Submitted,***** ******

We dropped our truck off the end of November because the transmission blew up. They at first tried to convince us that we shouldn’t use the warranty company because they wouldn’t cover it. It wasn’t until we had information in writing from another dealership regarding the timeframe of transmission fluid change that showed that we actually would get it covered. Did they actually start to work on my car! we received the truck back February 1, with the transmission that would not shift correctly and sounded horrible. Now they want us to take our broken car back because they won’t do any more work until they’ve been paid by our warranty company. They want to put in a new claim to fix the transmission that they supposedly already fixed. Every person I have talked to has focused on the money not caring about the customer.

On 8/22/2023 I brought my 2014 ***** ******* in for a Transmission Control Module update, bulletin #********* and to diagnose the issue with my transmission since it was shifting erratically. After waiting 2 hours I was informed that there was no update but when ahead and updated the Engine Control Module anyways since there was an update for it. This was a service I never asked to be performed. No diagnosing with the transmission was done and then paid for the update I never requested to be done and went to get lunch. At around 11:45AM waiting through the drive through I noticed the engine coolant temperature rise unusually high almost hitting 240 degrees, at which I parked the car and noticed the fan was not kicking on. I have never had a fan issue till this moment during the drive-through where the car was idle and there was no air going past the radiator to cool the engine meaning the fan was not working after they performed the unrequested wrong update. I then went straight back to Cortese to have them correct the issue. After then waiting an additional hour they said the fan was dead after performing the update. I then paid for a loaner to continue my day at which point around 3:30 PM I received a call that it would cost around $1400 parts & labor. I had no choice but to have this done as I start school less than a week now and the car was undrivable. Nowhere along the line did Cortese offer to resolve the problem they caused and offered no help after they performed an incorrect unrequested service that made my vehicle undrivable.

BBB spoke to the business's administration and the following was relayed: Customer was charged a standard diagnostic fee and for the new fan that we installed, which fixed his transmission issue.  Customer's engine is no longer overheating.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  The transmission was never worked on or fixed. They performed an unauthorized repair on my vehicle that broke my fan and have refused do do anything about it after I was forced to pay for the replacement. In short their unauthorized repair to the PCM caused the fan to fail, they then forced me to purchase a new one and have it installed, and never reimbursed me.  Regards,  ******* *******

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint\ I brought my car in for a transmission service, they did not do this and instead did a unautherized repair to the pcm that broke my fan and made my car over heat because of the unauthorized pcm flash. I request that I receive money for parts and labor they charged me to fix the part they broke.  Regards,   ******* *******
