I went to the "Growing Tree Nursery Schoo|" in Roslyn to sign up my 3 year old son for a program on September 6th 2022. ************************* told me to fill out the form and told me that even though school started already she can get my son in but I have to give her a deposit first. I offered my card but she wanted cash. We agreed that we send *****. I did send a transfer of $1400 as a deposit via Zelle to a gmail account which was strange ***************************************** I came to bring my son to school the next day and she asked me if he is vaccinated. I was confused why she didn't ask me that the day before and pre-qualified my son before she required the deposit. My son was missing shots and doctor said its not recommended to get all the shots together and we would have to spread them out, therefore there is no way we can catch up with shots anytime soon. I told ********************* that its not going to happed and I won't bring my son to that school. I was already getting uncomfortable how misleading this woman was...If immunizations are so important, shouldn't it be the first thing to ask, even to see if we qualify to attend the school. I haven't heard back from her. I called, emailed, left voicemails, stopped by the school, she is avoiding me and the email I got back said that "she is holding the spot" while I don't want her to hold anything for us and no longer what my child to attend that school. I asked for a refund immediately, then in my voicemails, emails and messages I left for her. My son didn't spent 1 minute in that school, never been interviewed, never been requested any records, etc. I'm honestly in disbelief this can happen in the educational field where people can just ignore you and keep your money while provided absolutely no services with a add on "deposit is non refundable" I've never been told that, it was never disclosed to me. She duped me.Thank you so much for helping me with this.
