We have been in our new house 4 years now in a brand new development and found out our neighbors roof leaked so bad it came down into their house so we decided to check our roof through our attic. On 9/7/2022My husband found two leaks coming from our ridge vent. He called the builders and the one guy who over see’s the houses in our development came over and looked and said he would caulk it up there. My husband asked if he could take some pictures while he caulked up there so we would know what was done. We tried to contact him and he didn’t answer so we called the office. She asked me if I contacted the roofers and I said no we have no info on any roofers just their worker who came over and she said she would have him get a hold of me. That never happened so my husband called the office back and she said she gave me info on the roofer which in fact was a lie. She gave him a number for a roofer and when he called the roofer he said it’s only a year warranty and said it would cost $175 to go up and look at it. We bought a new house thinking we wouldn’t have to be dealing with these problems being new and there are several of us so that tells me the roofers did not adequately put these roofs up. This is very frustrating. We have had other issues with this builder but we are finding out this is happening to more than just us. I feel these roofs should be inspected to see what is going on with them and not by one of their guys. Our house isn’t even 5 years old yet and the other house is a little over 2.

My complaint on file 18035093 I forgot to put the fact that besides us going to check our roof our daughter called us while away and sent us a picture of a water spot in our kitchen which elevated us to get up there.

Someone other than builder to look at our roof
