    On 9/26/2022 I wrote a check in the amount of $1800 to my dentist to PRE-PAY for dental work to be done. At the next appointment to begin the work, she decided she could not complete the work and wanted to change the treatment course. I was not comfortable with her plan and requested a full refund so I could go to a specialist who could complete the work. She agreed, but when I followed up for payment, she would not return my phone calls. I sent an email and received a reply that she would reimburse me, but that she would need to make payments, as she did not have the full amount on hand. I agreed to this, but she has continued to delay and avoid making any payments to me. I would appreciate BBB's assistance and intervention to avoid taking legal action if at all possible. That will be my last resort.

    Unfortunately, our office did loose, & we can prove it too. 
    we never ever refused to refund.  

    we,as a small business struggling with rising costs, labor shortages,should not be shamed for not having the money, esp at end of year. we do accept less paying insurances too, just to help the less preileged. just like Mr.******* plan, thats our way of showing our kindness/emotions too. 

    we have totally & permanently lost trust in Mr.*****. 
    we are tired of ******s allegations. which only keep increasing with time. 

    our time is for other patients too, 

    we have already shown lot of concern, respect, & emotions for *****, never got even a thanks in return, or even a respectful communication from him.  

    no other dental office would have agreed to work according to his extreme fear of dentistry, &  allowed him to keep missing apts & rescheduling, esp longer apts. 

    our concern for him was shown, in the way we didn't double any other patient, at the time of his apts. our kind actions for him speak louder than words. 

     we will mail only BBB, refund of $1200, in 3 to 4 installments, depending upon insurance payments & when we get them.

    Better Business Bureau:

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

    Unfortunately, according to the dentist's response, I will need to go another route.  It has been over a year and she has shown no effort or interest in making things right with me.  If she had any intention of refunding what she owes me, she would have done so by now.  This will wind up costing me time and her a whole lot more money than the $1800 and I had hoped to resolve this without having to take further action.  What a shame.  Thank you for your efforts, BBB.

    BBB spoke to the business and the following was relayed:

    The business is intending to refund the patient/customer $1,725 between today's payment of $600 being mailed and additional payments expected to be made in February and March. There is a $25 fee for each of the three missed appointments.
