Thank you for the opportunity to explain. Patient was contacted to confirm her appointment for the next day at 10:05am. She received a text message that expressed she had until 2pm to verbally confirm her appointment as our policy is we require verbal confirmation. Patient failed to contact us which resulted in a cancellation due to no verbal confirmation .  We followed policy and procedure, we made every attempt to contact the patient to confirm this appointment.

I am a patient of Wilson Dental, I have been calling for months trying to schedule an appointment for a root canal that they performed & was not done correctly. It took months to schedule the procedure to begin with & now I cannot get in contact over the phone with anyone to schedule a new visit. Every day I call it says their line is busy & that they can’t accept calls. In 3 months I haven’t reached a person 1 time. They’re not professional in person at appointments & once you’re inside you see that no one cares to answer the phone or provide patients with respect or service.

BBB spoke to Alex at the business and the following was relayed:

The patient was dismissed from the practice on September 6th, 2023 for missing multiple appointments. The number on the account was not in service/disconnected. We mailed the letter of Dismissal to the patient which included the ability to be seen within 30 days if there was an emergency. At this point the individual has three options: 1. The individual can call and try to get reinstated. 2. The individual can request a release of records to another dentist. 3. The individual can contact their insurance regarding other practices that take their insurance.

I called for appointment to fix my crown which was originally done by them on 10/12/2022. I was told they could get me in the same day. The dentist, Dr. A******* took all of 2 minutes and said I would have to reschedule as he would need to re-drill and insert a new crown. I asked if he could cement the crown as a temporary fix. He said “No”. I obliged and asked for the next earliest appointment so I wouldn’t be missing a tooth. I was told it would be 10/09/ 2022. The hygienist was nice and advised she would keep me on a list in case there were any cancellations. I agreed and left. I received a call exactly one week later and was advised to come in and get a new crown. On 10/16/2022, I went to my appointment. Upon looking at it again, Mr. A****** said he could not do the work because the tooth was gone. He didn’t even realize he saw me one week earlier and advised me differently. Both appointments lasted less than 5 minutes. I don’t think this dentist should be practicing. I would like to request that you formally investigate Mr. A****** to verify his credentials and any other complaints against him. In my opinion, he is aloof and totally incompetent. My condition did not change in one week. He should not be practicing dentistry.

BBB spoke to Alex at the business and the following was relayed: The patient's tooth has been worked on since 2018 and is now beyond restorable. The tooth is not salvageable and the patient has been informed of the two available options: We can extract the tooth and make a partial denture or the patient can have an implant placed at own cost at a practice that does that.
