Even after you submit a claim and it shows as paid on your account, the status of the claim randomly changes to denied. If you swipe your debit card to pay in a doctor’s office, it will show as paid when you log into your account. I’ve questioned this over the phone many times and was told there’s a 7 to 10 day window before a customer is notified once a claim is uploaded. Three or four months later I get a denial notification asking for documentation and/or a letter of medical necessity. This happens well after the deadline that you have to spend your OWN money!! I’ve called numerous times, been put on hold for hours at a time, even went to the location, which has eight floors and nobody’s there. Lifetime Benefit solutions makes people believe their claims have been approved, and only after it’s too late to spend their own money do they send out a denial. No one working in an 8 floor building except someone in the lobby and a security guard? I was told many of them lost their jobs during Covid and the rest are working from home. Not sure what’s going on over there or if anyone’s actually working. It is not fair to the people who are losing their own money by being blindsided after months go by with no way to spend unused funds. I will be reaching out to the attorney general’s office.

If I could give negative stars I would. IF YOU ARE AN EMPLOYER CONSIDERING LBS PLEASE DO NOT. Our family has had to work with LBS through my husbands employer for the last two years. It has been an absolutely disaster. They are constantly requesting additional information several months after a date of service is "resolved" The company cannot seem to grasp the idea that certain providers will require a charge at the time of service due to having a high deductible program. The provider then submits the charges to the insurance carrier and there is generally a balance due that you will pay at a later date. They cannot figure out the balance payable part and also cannot seem to grasp the fact that there is a charge at the time of service. They have an option to upload receipts via their app but then say that they cannot see the receipts and ask you to email them. You email them and then they cannot seem to locate what the receipt belongs to. They will also request receipts and threaten to turn off your card if the proper documentation is not received. When you send the proper documentation they will clear that balance and receipt but months later it will resurface and you will be back playing the game with them again so they do not turn off your card. LBS will talk you in circles without truly resolving anything. The employer offers a generous program but with LBS administrating it you cannot successfully use it.
