I had to reduce the review by half to get it to fit. Servpro of North Onondaga county came out on a Sunday after I requested an estimate for a sump pump failure in my finished basement. Two KIDS showed smelling of marijuana to assess the damage. They brought in fans and dehumidifiers 3 hrs go by and I go downstairs to find my immaculate basement baseboard pulled off my walls, thrown in a room unlabeled, and every singe wall damaged by the pry bar they used to pull it. They said I would get a quote in a couple days even though that is why I thought they were there. I got the quote a couple days later for $18k WITHOUT replacing carpet. I laughed and said no thank you. They proceeded to send me a bill for competing the estimate for $4300 when nothing was done but damage my walls and bring fans in. The work or money was never discussed. No matter how much money you make to receive a bill for $4300 without any kind of communication is unheard of business practices. I spoke to their foreman shortly after the events and he admitted they had issues with the kids that came out in the past and he would handle it. The last communication 2 days ago was from them asking me what I am willing to pay for the service. I told the woman $1000 for Sunday service call the fan usage and considering I had to put the puzzle of the baseboard back on the walls and repair every wall. I thought was fair. I never heard back for the last couple days and now they sent the claim to collections. So here we are April to November of 2024 and I have a bill of $5300 (with the interest they tacked on) with zero approval every given for any dollar amount. I am in the service business and I would never do $4300 worth of work without an estimate/approval. Mind you this money was just to get an estimate. I do not know of anyone who would have said ok for $4300 for 3 hours of nothing and in 2 days you will get an estimate. Sign me up good deal. Company is a complete scam and I will not give in.
