    On March 8th, I signed a contract with this property for work on a deck. The contract included materials and a quote. I also gave him a partial deposit of $5000 in a check, that was cashed. On April 9th, the company came to begin tearing out the top layer of the deck. About four hours of work was completed (I was sent dated and time stamped images of the work). As of May 6th, no additional was completed due. I contacted the owner and was told that railings had to be special ordered and would cost an additional $4000. I never agreed to this additional charge. However, on the contract it stated that special order railings were already included in the price. The owner and I argued and finally came to the conclusion that no additional work would be completed and that I would get my money back, less the cost of labor to tear out the top portion of the deck. On May 8th, I texted him and he told me that he would be sending numbers to me as soon as he returned to the office. As of May 14th, I have yet to hear anything more from the owner. I sent him another text regarding my estimate on the work that was done and a reasonable offer for my reimbursement so that I could recuperate some of my money. I also mentioned that if something was not done by the end of the week, that I would be pursuing small claims court to get my money back. In further investigation, there are multiple businesses with this name, different addresses, phone numbers, names and Facebook accounts.
